Mark sat through yet another quarterly report of his company with a serious bearing while seemingly listening intently to the discussions, though that was only a facade. He did not understand most of what was being said and it may as well been in another language. The charts presented to him made no sense no matter how he looked at them and the only thing he thought when looking at a pie chart was that he would have liked a piece of pie, though he also didn't like pie that much and just wanted an excuse to exit the meeting.
It turned out that being the CEO of an important company such as the Jacobs was not nearly as fun and extravagant as he imagined. Shouting orders at his employees and scolding them when they made mistakes was easy enough, but when it came to actual leadership or anything that included hard work, Mark was at a total loss.
