A Party

Tony went to their bedroom. His heart was pounding and his palms had gone cold. For a moment, he saw the same expression he saw on her face on that day under the maple tree—disgust.

It was his fault for hiding what happened that day. It was out of his hand and he didn't know how to handle it. Whatever it was, it was his fault. He was not going to deny that.

He didn't expect she would handle it this way though.

Someone must be spying on me on her behalf. Does she not trust me?

He took a deep breath before entering their bedroom. On the way to their home, his heart was fluttering with excitement. He had a lot of plans. But now everything appeared dark and gloomy. Every happiness was wiped out with her one question.

The tone she used… Sigh!
