Chapter 31: Druggie

"Hey, Fu Xien! Do you know how to upgrade your mana? Can I do cultivation to increase it?" I asked while looking at her.

She took a moment to explain. She wanted to make sure she answered truthfully. "Well, I am sorry to say but magic is magic and cultivation is cultivation. People aren't sure how to upgrade their mana in this world. Cultivation is different because you could channel more Qi." She explained but went further in-depth after pausing for a moment.

"Qi is different from Mana. Qi is the foundation of cultivation. This is hard for me to explain. I will try my best." Fu Xien said with a determined look and sparkles in her eyes.

A lot was explained to me. I got a review of the types of magic in this world. Even though cultivation is classified as magic it is very different. A cultivator needs this capacity thing. I don't know how to pronounce it but the thing is located in the gut. If that is destroyed they lose all cultivation powers.

Qi is like mana but qi growth is explained. Mana is different because gaining more mana is random. Mana is also not located in one place. While cultivation defines qi storage as in the gut. Mana is theorized to be in the blood.

Some people say mana surrounds the body as an aura or something. It also has no defined way of gaining strength through training. Mana does refill itself over time. People have tests and it usually takes 10 minutes for 1 MP to be refilled. That is the average, some people take longer. Some people regain mana faster.

There is also a big downside with mana advancements. The only advancement in mana was mana weapons. They have been around since before recorded time. The cool thing about those tools is that some are conductors while some are meant to store mana.

So I guess after Fu Xien's explanation. The only way I can receive more man. Other than random situations. I need to take drugs. By that I mean I need to take mana-raising potions. Let's see how much they are today. I remember them being 1000 exactly.

Today they are not 1000. They are 500 more so in total they are 1500 a piece. With their description, I get at least 1 mana point per bottle. With a small percentage of gaining more than 1. The max I can get from one bottle is five mana points. Well time to buy a lot of them.

I am literally doing the exact thing I said I wasn't going to do. You live with the consequences of your choices. I will now buy 133 mana-raising potions. With them being 1500 a piece 133 of them will cost me 200000 Sin Points. A message appeared showing me how much money I spent.

< 1200000 - 200000 = 1000000 Sin Points> A new message appeared.

New update: If the transactions of Sin Points reach the million(s). The system will simplify the transaction for you.

I kind of like that. The math got a little hard without commas. I was able to manage it but not that it is simplified with commas. I will be able to read the messages faster.

I now need to manifest a lot of mana-raising potions I wonder what Fu Xien's reaction would be. Thinking about it right now. I should forewarn her before she freaks out.

If a friend or even someone close to me manifested things out of thin air. I would also freak out if I don't know the reason behind it. I looked to her on my right since she was sitting to my right. When I did she turned away. I could feel her face becoming warmer. When she turned back to me her face was red. Out of nervousness, she started to scratch her cheek.

"I am going to manifest potions. So don't get too surprised. I have a storage skill so I am just taking it out of there." I said after confirming the purchase of 133 mana-raising potions. I opened the mail tab and here we go. Time to manifest 10 at a time.
