He cut off our escape route, but we refused to give up. So have I. I have a card that I didn't want to use. Since it has a horrible effect. Or at least I think it has a horrible effect. Immediately, I will have no problems. The wording it uses makes me think I will have future consequences.
The effect is simple but uses language that scares me. Words like corrupted and forever. The full listing of the card is this.
The Epitaph of Twilight - Effect: This card will only appear in the most dire of situations.
When you cast this spell, a corrupted card will come to your aid. This card will be permanently added to your deck regardless of the world you use.
Flavor text: Most people believe this card didn't exist. Since the creator of the story died. The power of the story turned itself into a weapon.
The world, I, or this skill, thinks my current situation is dire. When something is dire, it means it is a life-or-death situation. No one likes to be in a life-or-death situation. That and nobody likes when the decisions will have future consequences.
Most people, including me, decided on what would happen to them in the immediate situation. I am hesitant because of the word corrupted and the word forever.
Coruption means something that can no longer perform the current task correctly. The word forever is scary because people don't like commitment. I have no escape route. I must use something to tip the scale in my favor.
I hate to do it since I don't know of the future consequences. That being the case. Who knows if I have a future? I could die, and the future I would have would be me in a grave.
I grabbed the card that was floating in my hand, and it started to glow. It was shining bright like a star. For a card with an unnerving effect, it shines with a bright, calming color.
Author's Notes:
In volume three of the story. Tien's story will be played out more. I have to say, I choose a evil character and wrote him in a lazy way. Volume two and three will be changed to fit the story better. In volume three more chapter will be written to talk about the things that played out. I got a lot of stress writing that arc. So much so I had to stop writing.
