Chapter 14: My First Dragon Friend

I looked at her with a confused face. Can you tell that I got stronger by scrunching up my face? Well, I have gotten more robust by getting an SSS-ranked skill. I am surprised she can notice. Not many people can notice a change like that. To be fair, Barbara isn't human. She is a demon or devil of some kind.

"I did. It is a skill named "Card Caster."" I said the best I could with my face being squished. Barbara's eyes widened when I did, and she stopped squishing my face. She gave me a slight bow.

"I am glad. Make sure you use all the corrupted cards you can use," Barbara said while bowing. I don't like the idea of using those cards. So, I will move on to a new subject.

I told Barbara about my situation, including the battle against a bandit invasion. She understood and even voiced her own opinion. She says that I should just go back and continue getting Sin Points.

Why upgrade skills by using them when I could just get more? I thought about this before. Getting more might be better for me. The problem is that brothel money isn't cheap. I cannot constantly go to brothels. I could stretch my money out.

It is just that even though I can check to see if a girl is sexually disease-free. I still run the risk of getting sick if I went to a low-end brothel. The cheap brothels also don't keep customer privacy in mind. They will definitely tell everyone their client list.

After catching up with small talk, we began killing demonic beasts. We killed a lot of boars and skeletons. I killed about 120 skeletons myself. If I could get to demonic beasts, if first I could have killed more. Sadly, I had to let Barbara kill the most.

While slaying demonic beasts, I was able to get more mana. I now have 13/20 mana from the card skill. I also found a cute card. Its name is Baby Dragon. It has valuable skill, but it has cute card art. It is a red chubby little dragon. It also has stubby legs. It looks like it is flying in the picture. How can it fly with those little wings? So cute!

We took a break so I could buy some Mana-restoring potions. They are potions that help with restoring mana. Even though the Sin Points are drying up, I must purchase these potions. Barbara takes 10 Mana from within per hour to maintain. This is a new cost to her summon.

I didn't need these, but I bought 500 Mana Points restoring potions. I didn't need three of them, especially since the price was high. 200,000 Sin Points per potion. I now have roughly only 500,000 Sin Points. Better to be safe than sorry.

I summoned the Baby Dragon to see my first Dragon World monster. "Gwee-gwee!" The dragon spoke its first words. Isn't that just so cute!
