Chapter 41: Mission To Kill Evil (2)

I got up feeling energized from the skill I got and started to walk. Rust stopped me. He extended his arm out to block me from moving. He pointed to his left to show me demonic beasts were nearby. 19 goblins were there. That is a big group of goblins. They typically are in a group of 10 or less. This group is almost double the size of a typical group.

We all shook our heads to tell everyone we were ready. We all got low to the ground and started to get closer to the group of goblins. I was wrong; I counted 19 first, but there are actually around 25 goblins. This amount is quite the number to see at once. If I were by myself, I would have summoned the deep sea creature to help.

Or would I summon that monster? If I remember correctly, you have to chant a summoning chant. It would be hard to summon it while drawing the attention of demonic beasts. Let's think about what to do. I could attack and then summon a new monster to distract the demonic beasts. That would be good for a distraction but bad for me and the quest. We could attack on all sides but with only four people. Keeping them contained will be difficult.

I looked to my left to see Jael giving me a thumbs-up. Blade did the same when I looked at him. When I looked at Layla, she gained a lot of confidence and smiled at me. When she turned her head towards the goblins, the next thing I saw was a Layla lunging at them. Great, the knight started to be unknightly. I had never heard of a knight or a warrior in general attacking someone in a surprise attack.

In a few seconds of thought, I heard a scream from an evil being. I guess it is now or never. I tightened my grip on the spear and headed towards the nearest goblin. Whose attention was on a swift knight. I ran my spear right through his head. His death was sudden and painful. No sounds from his throat were made. That is how swiftly the spear slid into its head.

Another one for me! It's time to kill more and more to get this quest done! I moved to the next one, who was still confused about his current situation. I raised my spear and quickly lowered it on the goblin I was targeting. The spear slices the goblin with extreme ease. It died, and I saw its life disappear from its eyes.

Another quick win for us. I don't feel tired, but I know I should go to bed. I am running on happy feelings. The happy feelings that I got recently were from a convenient skill
