Chapter 64 Nanny

A week later, Yolanda, the nanny Alex had spoken about, finally arrived to take care of me. She was a warm and friendly woman, in her 50s, with a few strands of grey hair and rosy cheeks. It seemed like she had traveled a long way to get here, as she appeared a bit tired, but when she saw me, her bright smile instantly returned, and she seemed full of energy once again.

"You must be Emma Alex had been talking about!" Yolanda exclaimed, pulling me into a big warm hug that left me momentarily stunned. I glanced at Alex, who had a gentle smile on his face, a departure from his usual serious expression. "Yolanda, let me introduce you first," he said.

Yolanda seemed to realize she had been a bit too exuberant and let go of me with a sheepish smile. "Sorry, I was just so happy to see you," she said, extending her hand, which I shook lightly. Her hand felt warm and strong, just like the presence she emanated.
