The grand chamber of the Jedi Council was bathed in the soft glow of Coruscant's evening sky. The circular room, lined with the seats of the most esteemed Jedi Masters, carried an air of wisdom and authority. At its center, standing alone, was Will Kriss, his green-toned robes still carrying the dust and wear from the battle that had unfolded only hours ago. Surrounding him were some of the most powerful Jedi in the galaxy, their expressions unreadable, but their presence heavy in the Force.
Mace Windu, seated at the center, was the first to speak.
"Young one, you have been an enigma to us all. Your presence within the Force is strong, yet you were not trained within the Order. Tell us—who are you?"
Will took a slow breath, steadying himself. He knew this moment would come. He raised his chin and met the gaze of the gathered Masters.
"I am Will Kriss. I was raised and trained in secret by Jedi Master Eno Cordova."
A murmur spread through the Council members. Some exchanged glances, while others remained silent in contemplation. Obi-Wan Kenobi, sitting at Windu's right, leaned forward slightly.
"Master Cordova has been absent from the Order for many years. His name has been all but forgotten among the ranks. Why did he choose to train you in secret?"
Will hesitated for a moment before answering.
"He believed that the Force had guided him to me, and that my training needed to be separate from the Order's politics and conflicts. He wished for me to learn the ways of the Jedi as they were in the times of old."
Yoda, who had remained silent until now, opened his eyes fully, his gaze peering into the young Padawan's very essence.
"The times of old, you say? Hmmm… unusual, this is. Your lightsaber, tell us of it."
Will unclipped the weapon from his belt and carefully held it before him. The Council's eyes examined it with curiosity and familiarity. It was an ancient design, ornate yet functional, clearly predating the current era.
"This lightsaber belonged to Jedi Master Avar Kriss of the High Republic," Will said, his voice steady.
Silence fell upon the room. The name alone commanded respect, but Yoda's reaction was what caught the attention of the other Masters. The ancient Grand Master closed his eyes momentarily, lost in deep thought.
"Master Avar Kriss… a Jedi of great wisdom and power, she was. Long ago, she walked these halls. Descendant of hers, you are?"
Will hesitated. "I… I don't know for sure. Master Cordova never told me, but the Force has always guided me to her name and her legacy."
Plo Koon exchanged a glance with Shaak Ti, who had been observing Will with curiosity and intrigue.
"You were raised outside the Order, yet you carry the wisdom of the Jedi. And now, the Force has brought you to us," said Ki-Adi-Mundi, stroking his beard thoughtfully. "The Council must decide what is to be done with you."
A brief silence followed as the Masters deliberated among themselves through the Force. Finally, Mace Windu nodded and turned his gaze back to Will.
"You have proven your dedication to the Jedi, and you have aided us in a critical moment. However, you lack formal training in the Order's ways. That must be corrected."
Yoda's ears twitched slightly, and his wise voice followed.
"A Jedi, you will become. But alone, you will not be."
Shaak Ti, who had been quietly observing the discussion, finally spoke.
"I will oversee your construction of a new lightsaber. The weapon you hold is a legacy, but a Jedi must build their own blade."
Will nodded, accepting the responsibility. He had expected this moment—his own journey as a Jedi was just beginning.
Anakin Skywalker, who had been listening carefully, then stepped forward, his newly acquired title of Jedi Master resting heavily on his shoulders.
"And I will instruct you in lightsaber combat. You fought well in the Chancellor's office, but skill with a blade is a lifelong pursuit. If you are to stand as a Jedi, you must learn the forms properly."
Will's heart swelled with a mix of emotion. To be trained by Anakin Skywalker, one of the greatest duelists in the Order, was an honor beyond words. He bowed deeply before the Council.
"I accept this responsibility. I will do my best to uphold the Jedi way."
Mace Windu gave him a final nod. "Then it is decided. Jedi Shaak Ti and Jedi Master Skywalker will guide your path."

The next morning, Will and Shaak Ti boarded a jedi starfighter - Delta-7B Light Interceptor - each, the vast skyline of Coruscant shimmering behind them. The destination was clear—Naboo.
"The Force has guided us here," Shaak Ti said as she piloted the ship out of the planet's atmosphere. "It is no coincidence. Your lightsaber crystal awaits."
Will gazed out of the viewport, watching the stars stretch into hyperspace. He had read about rare crystals found only on worlds with great bodies of water - like Naboo. The very idea that the Force had chosen Naboo for this purpose filled him with anticipation.
Shaak Ti smiled slightly, sensing his thoughts. "The journey of a Jedi is often unexpected, Will. Trust in the Force, and it will guide you to what you seek."
As their ship vanished into the stars, Will felt the call of the Force stronger than ever. His path as a Jedi was truly beginning.
