Chapter 9 – Darkness abound - Part 5

Staring down at the two swords I have now, I notice Articius's blade has a longer edge, while mine is sharper on the edge. The design of both makes it seem like one is better for slashes (mine), and the other one is more designed for piercing attacks.

Looking at the engravings in Articius's Sword, I utter the words, "Trust in your heart," followed by, "Buckle but don't break." In an instance, I feel the swirl of spirit energy around me. As The King and the Man Cliff continue their fight, it seems they have this demon on the ropes, as it is unable to fend them both off without taking critical hits all across its body.

Not wanting to waste another moment, I dig my feet into the ground, take a deep breath, and surround my legs in spirit energy before spanning the 20 feet of distance between us all. I begin to create a straight-down cut with both swords in my arms, but the weight of Articius's blade slows me down just enough time for the demon to perform a parry with its arm.
