Chapter 13 – The Early Stages -Part 5  

Draven, caught in confusion, demands to know what's going on, while I stand in the barrier, dazed and trying to discern the situation.

"Toki, what is this?" I demand, echoing Draven's inquiry.

"You see, I wasn't fully convinced after we left, but I decided to do some more digging. I concluded it would be too dangerous to expose you openly. You would have just run away again, tail tucked between your legs. But that's beside the point. I knew that mark on your arm was like putting Naps on a racetrack."

"A what?" I ask, puzzled.

"Don't worry about it, but we quickly apprehended the Demon that had taken over a Cleric, whose lifeless body was riddled with holes from the black creature back at the capital—the same path you crossed."

Toki reveals a crystal dagger from his cloak and demands, "Tell me where the King's Orb is."
