Velocity introduced herself and clarified that she wasn't part of the Ultra family. The X-Gang responded by revealing their code names, group name, and their extraordinary abilities, attempting to intimidate her. But before they could enter, an unknown force whisked them away at blinding speed to an undisclosed location. There, they encountered a group of super villains and terrorists, all brought here by the enigmatic rogue speedster, whose presence remained hidden, a fast-phasing figure with menacing red glowing eyes.

Among the gathered villains was Emily Frost. The rogue speedster, shrouded in mystery, had assembled this nefarious band for an evil plot against Velocity. He threatened those unwilling to participate with harm to their loved ones. When he reached Emily Frost, he urged her to embrace her destiny and bestowed upon her the name "Frozen."
