Breathing heavily, I then sat down as we arrived at our base, in the ground floor.
Kraa?
"I'm okay, just running away from that monster took every strength I have in hand"
I spoke in a hoarse tone, as I tried catching my breath.
After I was able to outrun and outsmarted that monster, I then hurriedly climbed up, as I jumped from a tall tree. From there, I then jump from one branch to the other with Yoichi, till we are able to distance ourselves far from that creature's maw.
Jumping from one tree to the other, we didn't paused nor rested, as we continued moving forward, until we reached the ground floor.
As we arrived at our camp, I then slam myself to the floor, and lay there exhausted as I panted, trying to grasp some air. Yoichi then concernly went to my side, to aid me right after.
Leaning against the wall of our tent, I then summoned a bottled water and drank it, as if it was my first time tasting a water in my whole life.
Chug Chug Chug Chug Chug
Gulp
Puahh~
Storing back the bottled water I summoned, I then took a deep breath and leaned back against the wall again, and closed my eyes as I tried breathing calmly.

Opening my eyes, I then spoke
"Before Lucrane got back, let us be careful venturing the first floor when hunting okay, Yoichi"
Kraaa!
A bit relieved, I then close my eyes once again, and relaxed a bit for the time being.

"If you see some {Gray Wolves} roaming in the area, let me know okay"

After we decided to go back to the first floor to continue hunting, Yoichi and I then slowly walked the dense forest. I let Yoichi scout the area first, to know if we are being chased or followed by those damn {Wolves}. Summoning my sword as I vigilantly crossed the woods, we then continued moving forward.

After an hour or so as we transverse the thick, and quiet forest

We then stumbled upon a small village of {Goblin Hobbits}.

The village of this {Goblin Hobbits} are mainly composed by logs, and a small tattered tent, made from a worn out cloth. There were no wide ditch or dug holes around the village, nor [Archer Tower] guarding the wooden gate. The village is being populated by 28 {Goblin Hobbits}, and 1 {Goblin Hobbit Alpha}.
After I completely discern the surrounding area around the village, I then looked up and glance at Yoichi.
"See anything?"
Kraaa!
"Good"
After he made sure that there were no {Gray Wolves} following us from behind, I then nodded. Yoichi then went down and scrunched down beside me, as we stare at the village. Whisperedly, I then spoke our plan
"We won't need to go for a sneaky attack this time"
Kraa?
"{Goblin Hobbits} are merely weak monster, but they have number advantage to us. We just need to attack their alpha first before we strike everyone out, got it?"
Kraaa!
"Good. So Yoichi, I want you to strike the alpha first, while I attack them at the front. Cover me right after, and snipe all those you can kill"
Kraaa!
"That's great, now let us go"
Kraaa!
'I really don't know how can the two of us communicate like this'
After that simple discussion, the two of us then moved, and silently headed towards the village.

The two of us killed half of the population of this {Goblin Hobbits} in less than 2 minutes, as they are merely low in level, and pretty much weak
'So this is how it felt when I was bullying those Goblins, back at those rpg games that I once played before, for item and Exp grinding, how lovely'

Narrowing my gaze as I deeply stare at Yoichi's status, I was then lost in my thought. Yoichi then tilted his head, as I keep staring at him, in a cute manner.
'I'll ask Lucrane later on how to lift this restriction'

Not realizing it, Yoichi was concernly looking at me up close, as I stood there motionless. I then smiled and rustle this little guy's, bald greenish blue head.

"I'm alright, just thinking about something, but I guess I'm still quite a child in this world"

I then turn around as the still puzzled Yoichi, was staring at me
"Let us continue hunting Yoichi"
I said, as I turn my head a bit in my right and spoke, as I glance at Yoichi

"Good, continue scouting the area for any of those {Wolf} bastard, that might be loitering around"

The two of us then continued moving forward.

Just a minute or so after we further cross the deep of the woods, Yoichi then encountered some {Gray Wolves} in our way. He then hurriedly reported at me, as he went back by jumping from atop of those tree's branches. The two of us then silently hiding around a thick trunk of a tree, as we observed those {Wolves}.
Using [Keen Eyesight] as we surveillance them, I then saw 5 {Gray Wolves} discerning the vicinity of the forest.

The poor {Goblin} then tilted his head, as he stared at me with baffled and confused expression. Chuckling, I then tap this guy's little head and spoke
"Let us just move back, and find another place to hunt. I think this area is restricted by those {Gray Wolves} to hunt, and confronting them will be a great loss for us"

"We can't do anything against them without Lucrane here, so let us fall back"

Slowly, the two of us then moved away from the area, and change our route of hunting.

After we change our route and went towards the east of the first floor, we keep stumbling and stumbling with a group of {Gray Wolves} in our way, sometimes they are either in tandem, or in a pack of 6 when we saw them. And as we go deeper and deeper in the woods, the more we place ourselves in danger as, those area are those {Gray Wolves} home zone.
After we transverse a little bit deeper in the forest, we then stumbled to a group of {Goblin Hobbits}, which was composed of 15 members only, and most them are still at level 2 or 4.

After killing all those {Goblin Hobbits}, holding my Mythril Sword to my side, I then stared upfront and sigh

Yoichi then answered as he turn around, and look at me as he sat atop of a branch.
"We will go back for now"

It was quite a shame that we can't able to gain more Exp, but going any further than what we intended, will only make us meet our own death, and it was also almost evening, so stupidly moving forward will be troubling. I really wanted to ateast reach level 21 or 22 before evening, but it can't be help.

Sighing once again, we then moved forward as we headed back to our base. As we cross the thick woods, the surrounding area was in complete silence, as if a veil was place and covered all the noise around the area, isolating even a simple whisper and a quiet mumble. Though this place is truly quiet, but eerily quiet, and creepily silent, as the silence is completely disturbing
"Lucrane should really need to place some small bugs or creatures around this tower, to at least lively up this area even a bit"
She could at least place some Crickets or any monster that symbolize one, the normal looking one of course, and some Butterflies to beautify this place even more. Some crawling creatures will also make a great addition to the forest theme.

I then looked up as Yoichi just called me out. Gazing up, I then saw him pointing at the front

Yoichi then spoke about a group of 30 {Goblins} matching upfront. A large horde of them

"Is there anything else?"

Yoichi then added on his first statement, that their is 20 {Goblin Hobbits} that is following the {Goblins} at the back. Frowning to his words, I then jump up towards where he was. Arriving beside him, I then gazed upfront and used [Keen Eyesight], as I observed the front

I then saw a large number of {Goblins} walking towards our direction, as if they going to a war. They were all wearing a grim and stoic expression as they moved, griply holding their weapons as they marched the forest
".... That is some numbers not going to lie"

"... We shouldn't attack them yet, we will observe them first. So for the time being, don't make any sudden move, and just follow them. I will take the left, while you will stay here at their right, got it?"

After we decided what to do, the two is then moved and split up. I swiftly moved towards the left and hid between the trees. Yoichi did the same and directly hid. The two of us then stay there, patiently waiting for those monsters to come.

After a minute and so, the marching band of those monsters then came. The {Goblins} took the front, while the {Goblin Hobbits} was following from the back. All of them were vigilantly observing the whole area as they moved forward.
The alpha's of each group was placed at the center of the front.

One of the {Goblin Alpha} then commanded the group to halt.

It then called out one of its fellow {Goblin Alpha} xand the 2 {Goblin Hobbit Alpha}

The 4 then discussing something, as they have a serious conversation going on. The other {Goblins} were merely standing from the back, as they listened to the argument happening before them
After a minute or so, the 4 then reached a point where they agreed on. One of the {Goblin Alpha} then faced the horde, and yelled
Kraaa!
All the {Goblins} then slowly went from the left and right, and divided themselves.

The alpha yelled again as the number of {Goblins} each group wasn't balance, as the left side has 19, while the right side only got 9. As the alpha ordered them again, 5 from the left side then went to the right.
'So they do math better than I do, amazing'
As for the {Goblin Hobbits}, their alpha also divided them into 2 groups, each side will have 9 members. After everything was done

One of the alpha then commanded the horde to move forward, but this time, not all of them followed through, as the divided group then walked to different direction. The left group that was composed with 14 {Goblins} - including the alpha - and 10 {Goblin Hobbits} - including the alpha - then moved to the left, while the right group with the same amount of individuals, moved to the right.
Seeing that, I then gazed at Yoichi, which he did the same on me. Gazing at each other eyes, I then nodded to him and gestured to follow them, as I moved my right hand in a vertical manner, like as if I was chopping something. Yoichi, understanding my words, then nodded.
Kraaa
".... Please don't do that with a smile Yoichi, that is creepy"
I whisperedly spoke, as Yoichi suddenly gestured to me, whether he could kill them by moving his right thumb to the left side of his throat, and made a slitting gesture with an innocent look that of a child.
I then nodded and stated in a gentle words
"Be careful"
He then nodded. Afterwards, he then jumped and disappeared. Fully knowing that Yoichi isn't an idiot, I then relaxed myself and dashed forward, as I jump from one tree to another. Rushing forward as I needed to prepare how to assault them, as with those numbers, they could easily corner me, so I needed to eliminate as much as I can, in one single combo or strike.
Rushing forward, I then arrived at a place just a distance from the horde of {Goblins}. I then jump down and discern the surrounding area, trying to find anything that will help me with my surprise attack, or making any traps.
"!"
Looking at my right, I then saw some small broken twigs laying on the ground. Seeing that, I then hurriedly went there and grab it. Holding it my hands, I then examined the twig, but
"..... This is too small and thin to be use. It can't even kill let alone pierce those monster's skins. I need something thicker"
Thinking about it, I then looked up. Up above the tree were branches with great length, sturdiness, and thickness
"I can use those"
Saying that, I then jump up. Standing at one of the tree's branch, I then summoned my sword, and cut one of the tree's branches - those one that is much smaller than the others. Holding it, I then hold the branch at the center, and swing my sword and cut the tip of the branch. I did it a few times by twisting it, to make a sharp tip. As I finished it, I then looked at it and asked
"..... How to use this anyway?"
I then went on a deep thought. If I use this sharp branches as a weapon, I can't use it like one of those traps that uses rope, and tie it on a high place and kill the enemy by impaling them, as I don't have any rope, or any things that has the same property like one.
Thinking that, I then opened the [Inventory] of the tower to check anything on it, but it only have bandages and nothing more. Bandages can't be use as a substitute to a rope, at its weak, and fragile to be use, and also the impact it gave towards the enemy would be equal to a tickle. So with that, that trap was now out of the list
"Do I need to throw it up here in order to kill them?"
That is a good choice to make, but
"I need to do it by surprise, and kill them while they are in the state of confusion, but"
I can't really say I have good sniping accuracy, nor able to kill them during such limited time, and also
"Right after that would be the problem then"
What I meant was after they were in the state of confusion, to the sudden surprise attack I did, they will disband as they scurry around, just to get away from my range, right after they got out from their disoriented state. And sniping them as they split up will be a hassle, as I am not proficient in killing them in long range
"So that makes this stick useless then"
Saying that, I then throw the sharpen brach away

As the sound of the stick falling and rolling, as it bounces around. I then keep looking around the area to find anything that I could use. Inspecting the area, I then pin point something that I could use in this situation

I spoke. I then jump down and hurriedly went over that area, and prepared.

The horde of the {Goblins} then matched forward, walking upfront as they hold their weapon in hand.

Noisy as they walked, the horde were vigilantly surveying the area. Discerning the vicinity as they cross the deep woods.

Just a distance from them, patiently as it waited, silently as it observed. Holding its weapon in hand, griply grasp the word's hilt, the man took another deep breath.

Ignorant to the situation, oblivious to its surroundings, the {Goblins} walked towards their death, as they closely close the gap between them and the man

As they slowly shorten the gap between them and him, the man then silently mumbled in his breath

He then bended one of his knee and took his stance as he strengthen his posture, and prepared. As the group gradually began to close the gap, the man then

Pushed himself forward. Rushing with great speed, he then griply hold his word's hilt with both of his arms. Arriving just a few steps away from them, he then use his right foot as an archor, and swung his sword with all his might as he outstretched his right arm, and slash everyone that it hits with great force.

Adding the momentum of his speed, his buffed agility, and strong swing, its razor edge sword cut all 9 {Goblins} neck, and slit 3 more on their throat

Baffled to the situation, puzzled to the scene, surprised to the sudden circumstances, all the monsters could do was watched in their frozen state, as the man slaughtered them all.
The man didn't waste anymore time, nor let go of such opportunity in hand, as he then stump his left foot forward, grab the word's hilt with both of his hands, and swung it again towards the monsters in front

Some of you might be wondering this, how did he continued slashing the enemy at back, when those in front didn't yet fell down, right? The answer is simple, weight difference. The goblins are much lighter compared to Vince, which when he slashed them with great speed, plus putting all his strength with that strike blow, all those goblins away from the area they were standing. Just imagine when you are fighting a 5 or 6 years old kid, and you have a build of an adult man, you can easily push 3 or 4 kids with a pillow, maybe 5 of them if they lined up in a single line.

Taking another deep breath, I then smiled at end result of what I did. The plan was very simple, I just need to hide behind those thick and large bushes, until the horde of {Goblins} come. As I needed to kill them in one single sweep, I needed something that could pull such trick, so waiting for them to come near my targeted range, I was able to slash them all.

I then smiled as the skill I got in hand, was something I didn't really expect to get. The 1st one gives a quick dash forwardx with additional attack buff, while the 2nd one is a series of deadly blows. And what is more surprising to this is both of the new skills that I just received just now, came from the surprise assault I did to kill all those {Goblins}
The [Cleave Haste] skill came from the first swift dash I did forward, and slash the enemy right after. The [Saltare Mortuorum] skill used the 3 consecutive rotation I did, when I cut all the {Goblins} apart as a reference
"So I can make a skill just by that.....?"
But how about the [Sword Slash] then? During those times, I merely use axe all day, just to chop woods and trees, so did I gain that skill then? An axe is totally different to a sword by a long shot, the reach and grip, and also the power it takes, so how?

I stated, as I came to a conclusion that I alone can't really think this through. And after I have made sure that none of those {Goblins} survive my assault, I then dashed forward, towards where Yoichi is.

Arriving at the area where Yoichi is, I then saw him waving at me atop of a tree, as he sat down to its branch. And below Yoichi was a plie of dead bodies of {Goblins}, that he took down all alone. All the {Goblins} was killed by receiving a strike at their head by an arrow, while the others was on their neck.
Yoichi then jump down, and hurriedly run towards me. Arriving beside me, Yoichi then happily proclaim his victory. I then smile as I saw him, and rustle his cute bald head, and spoke as I congratulate him
"Good job Yoichi! You did great!"
Kraaa!
Looking upfront and to my side, I spoke
"Did you found any {Gray Wolves} loitering the area Yoichi?"
Kraaa!
Yoichi then shook his head.
"Then let us go back before they find us"
Kraaa!
The two of us then moved as we headed back to our camp, and this time also, I didn't take any of those drop items, as all of them are at [Normal] ones and can't be sold, though we can sell their ears, it mostly goes for cheap price, so I didn't bother taking any, and where are also in hurry anyway.
Going back to the ground floor, Yoichi then jump up, as I told him to keep scouting the area for any unforeseen danger. With that, we then continued moving forward.

Crossing the silent woods once again, Yoichi then called me out

[Transmission Point] is just a lesser version of a long distance transportation, [Teleportation Array]. [Transmission Point] only let you go up to a designated location that is already coordinated, but in a short distance. Just think of it as an elevator, but rather than going to one place only, you can easily select any floor to go, and just arrive there in a jipsy - from floor 1, you can only go to floor 6 or 8. And also, [Transmission Point] is exclusive to a tower only, and can't be use outside.
For bigger and quite extravagant towers, they use [Teleportation Array] just like the tower of [Hesperides Towering Garden]. When we go up from one floor to another, they use [Teleportation Array], as it cover more distance than a [Transmission Point].
"Did you found any sign of those beast?"

Yoichi then replied, that he didn't saw a soul of those {Gray Wolves}
"Just be on your guard, they might be hiding somewhere, so be vigilant"

After that short exchange, the two of us then continued moving forward.

"It is kind of a clinched type of comeback from the villain, to wait at the path of exit, to comfort its nemesis for another battle, so here we are, waiting and surveying the area, for any potential sign of those beast waiting for us"

"You think they won't do it? You are naive Yoichi. Let us just be careful for now and observe, if we found nothing amiss, then we continue"

Staring upfront with a distance look, I then spoke
"Then we just need to retreat much deeper in the woods, and wait for Lucrane to comeback"

After we arrive at the area, just a few more distance from the [Transmission Point], I then called Yoichi to jump down, and hide between some bushes in the area. I have been reading a lot of Manga and rpg games, that it became typical for every writer or author, to let the enemy wait at the end of the road, to fight the hero or the Mc of the story. So here I am, waiting for any of those 'clinche'.
Seconds pass till minutes came, as we silently watch the surrounding area. Motionless as we are in standby and inspecting the quiet vicinity.

"Yeah, I also think the coast is clear, but to be sure, we should wait a bit more"

After we agreed, we then lengthened our stay, and keep on a watchful eyes for any changes in the area.

Another minute pass in like a blink, and not even a glimpse of their shadow or rustling of bushes did we saw, as we remained silent as we waited for them to come.
Looking at my left then towards my right, all I could see is a bountiful area with full grown trees, and lushes of greenery, and nothing more.

Standing up, I then halted Yoichi, as I discern the surrounding area once again, just to be sure, but even when we let ourselves known, there were no changes happened in the area, so with that, we then advance forward.

Deep in shade of the lushes of the bushes, silently waiting as it motionlessly halted. Baring its sharp fangs in silence, deeply holding its ground with its power paws, the creature eyes glint of murder and anger. Soundlessly staying in its place, the creature waited.
Rushing at the front with great speed, the two of them then continued advancing. As they move forward, Vince then attentively observe the area that they are passing through, checking every nook and cranny of the vicinity. Finding nothing on the area, he then turn his head towards his little {Goblin} friend, who dashing right beside him
"Let us incre-Yoichi!!"

Too late to react on the situation, the greenish blue {Goblin} wasn't able to avoid the wide, and powerful maw of the advancing enemy, that suddenly dash at him. With its sharp pointy fangs and swift speed, Yoichi could only accept the monsters mighty maw.

The beast then distance itself from the other, as it rush towards the side, and dug its razor sharp fang deep on the {Goblins} flesh

Gritting its teeth as he bear the pain, Yoichi then hasteningly took an arrow from his small quiver, placing it towards his bow, he then pointed the arrow directly to the creature's defenseless head

He then yelled as he released the arrow from the bow, directly piercing the enemy in front.

The {Wolf} cried in pain, whimpered as it was hurt, it then brandish the poor {Goblin} in furious assault. With its tired eyes and rough breathing, Yoichi then took another arrow from his quiver, and once again aimed at the creature upfront.

The giant creature once again cried in pain. The giant {Gray Wolf} then brush the annoying creature from its mouth, and throw it away, tossing it towards the side with great force, as it whimper in agony

The giant creature cried, as a long and sharp weapon then made its way to its grayish fur. The man didn't stopped as it continued on. Gripping his weapon with both of his hands, it then continued throwing slashes after slashes, rotation after rotation, as he consecutively slitting the enemy with no mercy coated on its face, as anger boiled deep within him.

Vince then swiftly dodge its sudden counter, as it rolled to the side. Standing up, he then rushing dash towards the quivering battered {Goblin}, that was laying on the ground, bloodied. He then hurriedly summoned a potion from his ring, and carefully and swiftly let the poor creature drank the healing potion.

The giant {Gray Wolf} then loudly howled, summoning 4 {Gray Wolves} beside it, and gnash its fang furiously, as it stared back upfront. It then rushed towards where the 2 were, followed by its pack from behind.
Vince then hurriedly carried his unconscious partner behind, and dashed without hesitating for a moment, towards the [Transmission Point].
As the monster opened its wind maw, intercepting the running prey towards him, Vince then nimbly slid himself belowx as he dodge the powerful gnaw of the creature's mouth.
Flexibly standing up, he then pushed himself forward, and hastenly dash forward. Following from behind, the creature sprint in furious glint, as it rapidly increased its speed.

Dashing as his life was on the line, Vince then hurriedly bolted forward. Carrying its friend behind him, they then arrived at an open space, with a single stone pillar stood upfront. Below the pillar was a small rune engraved on the ground.
Vince then hastenly rush forward, as the monster still pursue them in desperate haste.
(Vince's POV)
As I arrived at the center of the [Transmission Point], I then directly tap the ground floor button. Thankfully that our tower is still level 3, so there was only 3 buttons place at the [Transmission Point Control]. As the bluish light then engulfed us, I then turn around and saw the giant {Gray Wolf Alpha}, just a meter from us.
Grinning at it, I then raised my middle finger, and spoke in an irritated tone
"Better luck next time, bitch!

The light then took us away from the area, before that monsters sharp fang, dug its razor edge at me.

After we got teleported back to the ground floor, I then hurriedly sprinted forward, towards our camp as I carefully carry Yoichi behind me.

His breathing is getting rougher and rougher every seconds, and glancing at him as I ran, I then saw that he was losing consciousness. Rushingly, I then arrived at our camp. As I got inside, I then directly place Yoichi on the bed, steadily and carefully, to not worsen his already battered self.
Thankfully, that the injury Yoichi got didn't ended on his leg being torn apart, neither receiving a fatal wound on his side. Yoichi only received a large bite on his right side from his thighs, and abdomen. I also did a first aid on him, after I let him drank a medium size healing potion, [Potion of Recovery], so his life wasn't endanger anymore, but it was still completely mentally, and physically exhausting for him.
I then summoned a bandage from the [Inventory], and thoroughly wrapped the bandage around the injury of Yoichi, right after I cleaned his injury with a clean water.
After I have wrapped the bandage, Yoichi then took a deep sleep. Worried, I then placed my left hand on his forehead

Feeling relieved, I then smiled and got up. I then silently leave and let him rest for the time being. Standing outside, I then took a deep breath, and composed myself. I then turn to my left and walked towards the control room.
