Killing the Skinling Slasher

"Let's get into formation before it attacks again. Allura, when it comes close, use your fire sword technique, and Kiannah, you hold the Skinling in place with your weapon." Natasha ordered before drawing out her katana and standing next to Valentina.

"Alright, I'll do so, Natasha." Allura responded.

However, before the group could get back in formation, the Skinling Slasher reared back and flew at Natasha at blinding speeds. However, Natasha decided to gamble, and as the Skinling Slasher slashed her neck, she swung her sword and miraculously beheaded it, causing it to fall to the ground lifelessly.

Natasha fell to the ground and began struggling to breathe and forgetting to use her level-up.

"Natasha, hurry and level up! Don't die! Please!" Kiannah yelled while running to her as tears fell from her eyes.

'I completed the quest but only because I risked my life.' Natasha thought while gritting her teeth and listening to Kiannah and leveling up.

'What level am I?' Natasha thought.

"Are you okay, Natasha?" Valentina asked while running to her side and looking her in the eye.

"I'm fine. It's okay, really." Natasha replied while smiling.

"That's good. Now what will we do for the remainder of our time here?" Allura asked while walking to Natasha's left side.

"Let's continue killing more and more Skinlings. But we need to be careful In case we're ambushed again." Natasha stated while smiling.

"That's the spirit! We shouldn't cower. We should grow stronger!" Kiannah says while smirking.

Afterward, the group spent four days fighting, eating, and sleeping and leveled up two more times. However, the Skinlings they fought didn't provide much experience since they were only levels one to three. After the duration, they returned to the group, set up their beds, and locked the door when Allura stood up.

"Valentina, Natasha, and Kiannah. I sadly have to return soon. I apologize, but I'm in D class and can only spend five days here. But here's my backpack and its supplies. Hopefully, they can help you all some." Allura stated while placing her backpack on the ground and sighing.

"It's alright, Allura, don't worry about it." Kiannah replied while putting Allura's shoulder.

"We can manage here and survive. I hope you enjoy the academy." Natasha stated while brightly smiling.

"Allura, let's meet after we finish our time here." Valentina suggested while grinning and crossing her arms under her chest.

"Alright then. Goodbye, everyone." Allura responded before disappearing.

'It's just Valentina, Kiannah, and I. We should probably search for the soul metal soon before Valentina leaves.' Natasha thought before sighing. "Kiannah, Valentina. Do you all want to search for treasure while we fight Skinlings?"

"Search for treasure? Like what kind of treasure, Natasha?" Kiannah asked as her right brow raised and her eyes narrowed.

"Well, just search for some, and if we find any, we can split it equally." Natasha replied while humming softly.

"But what if it's a treasure we can't share? What should we do then?" Valentina questioned while furrowing her brows.

"We can sell it and split the coins equally amongst each other." Natasha patiently explained.

"That sounds great, so how will we search?" Kiannah asked while smirking and winking.

"We will look for any caves and see if any have any treasures. This place is otherworldly, so there may have equally crazy treasures." Natasha replied while smiling.

"Alright, then, that sounds great, Natasha. Let's begin our search." Valentina quickly stated before getting up, putting her backpack on, and looking at Kiannah and Natasha.

"Wait! We need to go to sleep first." Kiannah interjected before getting in her makeshift bed.

"Alright, alright. We can sleep first." Valentina replied while giggling and smirking.

Subsequently, they looked around while killing Skinlings, but alas, the group's two-day search proved fruitless. And within the ruins, they readied themselves for bed when Valentina stood up.

"Guys, it's about time for me to leave. Here are my items, and goodbye." Valentina stated while waving at Kiannah and Natasha. She also softly smiled as a tear fell from her eye.

"Goodbye, Valentina. I hope you enjoy your time at the academy." Natasha spoke while waving back.

"Valentina, good luck and farewell." Kiannah replied while winking and grinning.

Valentina nodded and disappeared.

"It's just us now, Kiannah. Perhaps we should stay in the ruin for the rest of our stay here." Natasha suggested while furrowing her brows and crossing her arms under her chest.

"Alright, let's do so. However, when I get out of here, the first thing I do is take a bath. This trip made me very sweaty despite changing clothes every day." Kiannah stated while feeling her sweaty shirt.

"Indeed. However, I forgot, how long do you have to stay here in this place, Kiannah?" Natasha questioned while raising a brow.

"I have to stay here for three weeks in total." Kiannah replied while sighing and slumping her shoulders.

"I'm sorry, Kiannah. I only have to for one and a half weeks." Natasha stated while patting Kiannah's back.

Kiannah turned to Natasha and smiled.

"It's alright, Natasha. Um, may I ask you a favor?" Kiannah questioned.

"Sure. What do you need, Kiannah?" Natasha asked while raising her brow.

"Can you tell Hendrix I miss him? I want to see him and hold him. I'm sorry it's just I want to show my appreciation to him." Kiannah explained while tears fell from her eyes. Additionally, she sighed before hugging Natasha.

"I'll do so if I see him, Kiannah. And if Priya doesn't let me near him, I apologize in advance." Natasha replied before hugging Kiannah back.

"Thanks, Natasha." Kiannah says while smiling as tears continue to fall from her eyes.

"Your welcome, Kiannah. Now let's stay here until each of us leaves." Natasha suggested while letting go, going to her makeshift bed, and pulling the covers over herself.

"Alright, we had enough fun anyway already. I guess it's time to relax for the remainder of our time." Kiannah agreed before entering her makeshift bed and starting to close her eyes.

Afterward, the duo fell asleep with smiles as faint moonlight illuminated the room and their faces.
