It all began when a new pharmaceutical company discovered a key to extending lifespan with a youthful elixir. 

However, the price of this elixir was so high that Alex, a former military man with no family or savings, could not afford it. His life became even more miserable as he was treated like trash by those around him.

His miserable existence continued until one fateful night when he met his demise due to unforeseen circumstances. 

When he awakened, he found himself in another world, inhabiting the body of a young man named Li Wei. Just when he thought the surprises were over, a notification appeared:

Alex, hearing the words of Wu Lina, responded with an air of confidence that left no room for doubt. "Rest assured, I've gathered enough understanding to play my part in this mission. You needn't worry about me," he said, standing tall and unwavering.

Wu Lina squinted her eyes, her gaze as sharp as an eagle's. "I hope, for your sake, that you truly comprehend the significance of our task and the weight of the consequences should you hinder our progress." Her words hung in the air, a veiled threat that was clear as day.

Alex's lips curled into a smile. He had faced countless threats in his former life, and this felt almost childlike in comparison. Yet, he couldn't dismiss it outright.

Longwei's annoying voice suddenly sounded in his head "While the threat may seem naive, remember that she has the power to send you to your death in the blink of an eye."

Choosing to ignore Longwei's caustic remark, Alex found himself agreeing with the underlying truth.
