Chapter 132. No escape chance.

After neutralizing the guards, Tao Liu busied himself with the grim task of gathering their lifeless bodies, opting to stash them haphazardly in a concealed corner. He made no real effort to thoroughly hide the bodies, fully aware that such an endeavor would be futile and of no significant consequence.

His adept observation skills allowed him to discern the patrol patterns of the guards. It was evident from their calculated movements that it was highly unlikely for any of them to deviate from their routes and stumble into the area where he currently stood.

Even if he had gone to great lengths to conceal the bodies, the endeavor would have proven fruitless. Any passing guard would instantly notice the anomaly, the copious amount of blood spilled on the floor being a dead giveaway. Tao Liu was cognizant of the fact that he was racing against the clock. The time and energy required to scrub clean the blood-stained floor was time he did not have.
