We Agreed to Brag Together, But You Secretly Dominated the World

By the nature of this novel, 80-90% of a chapter is just background characters doing the bragging. In my opinion, its whatever. I'm not particularly enthused with the bragging, but I haven't seen anything egregious within this novel either. This doesn't do anything groundbreaking, but what it does do, it does consistently okay. There is a cast of background characters that become the side characters since they consistently brag, and they are how the author provide some character instead of mindless bragging by giving a more coherent reason as to why they are bragging. If you can't handle bragging, this novel is not for you and you should just move on. If you can handle bragging, it's not really a cultivation novel with actual cultivation either, so you kinda need to actually like bragging to enjoy this novel. Honestly, I can see this novel 1000 chapters in being exactly the same as these 20 chapters except at a different cultivation stage.

It's an interesting concept, I'm curious to see where it goes as although they have been boasting and bragging systems, this is the first one that actually directly give him the power people boasted about, so I want to see how this author creates tension, maybe they'll make it that someone has to believe it to an extent for it to happen but all in all I'm curious to see how it plays out.

Having read the raws/MTL up to the latest chapter (267), I'd say it's a decent read. Nothing special, but entertaining enough. Kinda similar to I'm Really Not the Son of Providence. Mostly quite similar in tone, though this one is even more light-hearted so far, and the MCs are a bit similar; both socially adept and generous, valuing their reputation and social connections above all, because their cheats benefit from it. The MC's power progression is very fast, he's already close to the saint realm, which is the top power in his part of the world, merely a few years after the start of the story. There's romance, but it's subtle and slow-paced, because the MC and his fiancée only meet once in a while and they're too busy trying to get stronger to waste time flirting. Harem is a future possibility; there are at least two other women who seem like they might be able to almost keep up with the MC's insane cultivation speed, and who have had relatively major roles in the story. The writing quality, plot, world building, characters etc. are all so-so, nothing impressive but not bad. In all its mediocrity, the foremost merits of the story in my eyes are that the MC is rather likeable for a Chinese MC, and there's nothing in particular that annoys me about this story. Plus I happen to like light-hearted stories, and novels as light-hearted as this one are relatively rare in the xianxia genre.

is this dead ? not seeing updates from quite some time

If the author explained things shortly and not used 1000 words to explain something that could be explained in 50 words, it would be an interesting novel. I'm enjoying it. There are entire chapters that explain how the MC came and landed on the ground, with heavy a** explaining "how the falling leaves of the swaying ancient trees were reddish pink in colour under in the celestial starry skies and the young man man wearing white robes exuded ancient immortal god aura that made even the heaven and earth lose color. And how he gently lifted his two fingers and slashed the void, that caused the reality to tremble and the sword aura to ten thousand miles defeating all demons and making million buddhas chant scripts".

the story is passable but like many other chinese authors they keeps repeating sentenses in different paragraphs just to make what was supposed to be in 1 - 2 chapters into more chaptes that honestly kills the joy in reading the story.

i really didn't expect it to be this good, i really enjoy how the system works it's like faith if certain number of People believed the could do something the system make it happen i also have some concerns if this is going to start repeat itself every n chapters but as it is now it's really good, i really enjoyed reading this and I hope to read more.

Is it long winded? Yes. Is it a good story? I guess. Is it worth spending your money on to read? Definitely not. The author drags things on for long periods. A lot of chapters can be summarised in a chapter but it’s taking multiple chapters.

After around chapter 36/37, this novel becomes an exact copy paste of "I'm Beloved By All Due To My Investments" or "玄幻：我，无限投资，被万族敬仰 目录", with nothing but the names changed. The novel itself started well, I don't understand why the author decided to just Ctrl C, Ctrl V another novel.Perhaps because the other novel doesn't have an official translation? I've read the raws though, it's literally word for word the same story with different names.

Good novel but Author kinda ruined it. Author is introducing MC-like character as friend of MC, now these characters will take help from MC, create trouble which MC will clean later on. I just don't like such baby sitting 🍼 MC. Besides, MC power grown too quickly without any effort but his personality is somewhat lacking. He seems sympathetic & kind, which is perhaps alright but I like selfish characters.

Honestly, I read more than 150 chapters and I can guarantee that a novel as mediocre as this definitely does not deserve this score, in fact even 3 stars would be a lot, but I will give 1 star to balance this unfair score

The main character as well as the story is slow paced and I don't like how the story is developing. My opinion after finishing 76 chapters of this novel.
