The white-haired elder had scarcely stepped onto the path before an invisible energy enveloped them all. This was an extremely potent formation. Their movement grew arduous under its effect. Mere steps exacted a steep price - faces now glistening with sweat.

"Is that true?" Su Chen muttered, eyeing his storage ring. 

Earlier, Ye Ruxue indeed forewarned that formations shrouded all byways here, not solely their present trail. Though of alternatives, theirs perhaps ranked safest. Other paths likely harbored lethal traps. These served but trials, intensifying against each challenger. 

"What happens, Fellow Daoist Chen?" cried the elder, brows shooting up in dismay.
