Meeting Daniel Again

Roy woke up the next day to find a message from Daniel.

He had already transferred the money to his bank account and would wait for him at the same spot they had met before.

This news shocked him.

With shaking hands, he checked his bank statement, and true to his words, the balance was 10 million dollars.

He was not sure how to react to this.

This was an amount of wealth he would not dare to dream of previously.

It was so huge to him that seeing how easily Daniel sent him the money even without having the product made him feel depressed.

He was also realizing how unreal and powerful the system was.

This money was made just two days after getting the system.

He felt that it was worth it even if he lost his life to it.

As long as he could give his mother a comfortable life, he was ready to burn in purgatory.

A broad smile formed on his face as he walked toward the kitchen.

Today's breakfast was sure to be scrumptious.

Daniel had been waiting for an hour now.

It was already forty minutes early and his excitement could not be contained.

Roy might not know but he was in tons of pressure.

The most difficult position to be in was the top.

It had been quite a while since he had made any improvement and the people behind him were starting to pressure him.

The Dragon country was also hot on their heels as they were improving in their technological advancements at a terrifying speed.

It would not be surprising if they managed to surpass the country in chip production shortly.

What was even more terrifying was their incessant cyber-attacks.

Did they have nothing to direct these resources to?

It was not like the government would put their closely guarded secrets on an open network.

Every time the entrance bell chimed, he would look up to see who had come in.

He could not wait to get his hands on the program.

And he did not have to wait longer.

Roy came in and headed straight for his table.

"Good morning. I hope I did not keep you waiting long"

Roy slid a flash drive across the table as he sat down and started studying the menu.

He had enough cash now to splurge and he had to enjoy it.

In his excitement, Daniel did not even answer him.

He took out his tablet and connected the drive.

Soon, he saw three files.

The source code, Documentation, and an executable file.

It was a standard arrangement and its simplicity made his heart skip a beat.

He had so many expectations for this product, if it was a failure, he might just skin this boy in front of him.

But seeing his carefree look, he decided to open the files first.

Opening the executable, it took less than a second to start and the user interface was simple at first glance but it had a ton of features.

He could hardly believe how such a robust program started so easily without any lag time.

Even simple games would take longer.

The surprise did not end there.

The more he looked at the program, the more surprised he was.

The app had so many language settings.

Did he have to even include Klingon, Na'vi, Dothraki, and a bunch of others?

The languages of the world were in the thousands. How the hell did this boy manage to include all of them in the program?

He even included a bunch that no one was gonna use.

The more he looked, the more terrified he became of Roy's ability.

Roy even included a translator for code written in all types of languages.

This translator would convert most of the code to binary, leaving only the original functions in the original language.

It could even convert code from one programming language to another.

If this product was put on the market, he just had to wait for a few years and he would be a billionaire.

And then he looked at the Source code.

He did not understand it.

The code itself was fairly simple but he felt like he needed a tool to run it.

And that was indeed the case.

With the source code and documentation, it was easy to study and understand the program, but if they wanted to change something or add anything, they had to find Roy for it.

This was to secure his connections and make Daniel want to keep in contact with him.

Roy might be the one in need of these connections, but that did not mean that he had to be the one to maintain them.

Since he had the ability, he would make them feel that they were the ones that needed him.

This simple program could do so much.

Anyone with foresight could imagine how powerful a program made by him could be.

As if waiting for this very moment, Roy spoke.

"Mr. Daniel. I believe the program is to your satisfaction?"

He had been observing him for a while and caught all the changes that happened to his face.

Daniel would usually mask his emotions pretty well, but this product was just too good.

He had even forgotten that he was here to make a deal.

It was a good thing they had already agreed on a price before this meeting.

With a slight blush on his cheeks, Daniel pushed a folder toward Roy.

These were the deeds to the land he had managed to get for him.

It was a huge piece and he had to pull many strings to get it.

It might not be the most expensive, but if it was put up for auction, the real estate would buy it for hundreds of millions.

That was prime land and it surrounded a huge lake.

The view was ridiculously good.

This forest was in the middle of the city.

If they build some villas there, how much could they rent them out for?
