Kiara and I walk out hand in hand through the hallway. Everyone seems shocked, even the professors. We were a different couple. They probably think she's too good for me, and she was. I stand by her locker. While she collects her books. She had a lot, because my guess is she actually takes her homework home.
"I am sorry."
She looks at me. "For what?"
"Not speaking much today, I just didn't want you to fall into the gossip trap," I rub the back of my neck.
"I don't care about what people think of me, Chetan."
I move closer to her, and she wraps her arms around my body, laying her head on my chest.
"Don't think I would be embarrassed to be dating the cutest girl in school."
She looks up at me, and I kiss her nose. She laughs.
"So we are officially dating?" I see the smile appear across her face.
"Well, I did just kiss you in the classroom full of students, so I would say that's official enough."
I bring my lips to hers, kissing her sweetly. The taste of her lips excites me, and I have to remind myself that I'm still at school.
"That's enough Chetan, gym now," I hear Coach bark.
I pull my lips away from hers. "Sorry Coach."
"Kiara," I see the shocked expression on his face
Kiara and I walk hand in hand towards the gym. I seriously hope this relationship doesn't fail, considering how busy I always am. I know deep down inside that that played a major role for Dyani and I.
I bring my lips to her cheek. I see the other boys watching through the door window.
"I'll text you later, maybe we can meet up tonight?"
She smiles and nods.
I walk into the gym and to the conditioning room. Opening the Locker, I grab some sweatpants that seriously reek, like I haven't washed laundry for weeks. Damn, I have been slacking.
Laying down on the bench press, I start to lift. I know I'm technically supposed to have some one spot me, but I don't need a spotter. I lift three times these weights, carrying logs through the forest. Not to mention I am a werewolf, so I'm sure I'm stronger than the average man.
I fill a presence behind me.
"Where's your spotter Chetan?" Barks the coach.
"I don't need one for this little bit of weight."
"You're lifting the max." I set the weights up.
"Right."
I seriously looked more ripped since my last conditioning practice, that sure. Dev and I are doing curl ups off the tree branches, daily.
"You didn't even break a sweat, are you taking workout incentives?"
I feel the laughter escape my lips, and I couldn't help it.
"No, I work on a farm. I'm constantly carrying heavy logs and bales of hay. Sometimes a natural workout is a way to go, just ask Rocky Balboa."
The couch laughs. "And now that you're dating Kiara, maybe you can teach her to catch a ball or something."
I chuckle. "I will do that."
I can't imagine her in gym class. She would be a train wreck, she's not very the sporty type, that was completely obvious to me.
