Ancient Divine Beasts

Helian Weiwei thoughtfully closed her eyes, suppressing her laughter. She playfully remarked, "Don't be shy, I won't pounce on you." The silver-haired beauty stumbled as he tried to retreat, his expression remained stoic, and his voice carried a cold tone. "Woman, you can open your eyes now." Helian Weiwei turned around with a smile and saw that Fang Cai, the beautiful man, had already dressed himself. His long sleeves floated in the air, exuding an otherworldly charm.

He wore her clothes, and although they fit snugly, they were a bit short in the limbs. His sexy abs were exposed, and a layer of white hair brushed against his cheeks as he buttoned his clothes. He revealed a pair of shallow and faint silver eyes, emitting a subtle glow, exuding an alluring charm. The moonlight gently illuminated his face, outlining his perfect silhouette like a beautiful boy from a comic book.

"Very good." Helian Weiwei touched her chin, smiling mischievously. "Have you ever considered that it might be more suitable for you to wear women's clothing?" The beautiful man narrowed his phoenix eyes, slowly turning his head. His eyes carried a dangerous glint. "If you keep talking nonsense, I'll swallow you whole!"

Helian Weiwei's smile grew even brighter. "Swallow me? Are you sure? Even as a transformed wild cat, you wouldn't be much of a match. If I bite my own finger and lose a few drops of blood, it'll be enough for you to see. Once you faint, what do you think I could do to you? Can you resist?" The beautiful man's eyes paused, and his raised chin stiffened. It seemed he had never encountered such a shameless woman. He pointed at Helian Weiwei and stubbornly declared, "The likes of you can't compare to this hall!"

Saying that, he planned to flick his sleeves and leave. However, as soon as he lifted his feet, he transformed back into a small cat, without giving him a chance to struggle!

This was absolutely detestable!

"Hey, even as a cat, you're quite beautiful. There's no need to pretend to be dead on the ground," Helian Weiwei said, finding the melancholic expression on the cat's face in front of her amusing.

The white cat tilted its head, stretched its front paws, and squatted in front of Helian Weiwei. It had decided to stay by her side until it fully recovered its true form. Although it was unsure of her strength, it was still better than facing those greedy humans outside. Moreover, it had a feeling that something was sleeping on her body. When it tried to investigate, it was repelled by an unknown energy—a situation it had never encountered before.

Helian Weiwei was dumbfounded as she looked at the cat in front of her, raising an eyebrow. "Speaking of which, why can't you even control your own body?"

The white cat looked at her proudly. "This hall is being pursued. You despicable humans have conspired against me during my transformation period. That's why you thought of contracting me. I just had a fight with someone to the west, and my physical strength was exhausted, revealing my true form. Can an ordinary person casually witness the true form of this hall? Ridiculous!" It snorted heavily.

Helian Weiwei frowned. "Then why did you casually reveal your true form just now?"

The white cat suddenly felt a warmth on its face, but then remembered that as a cat, it wouldn't show even if it blushed. It felt much more at ease. "If I were to transform into a human, who knows what mischief this lustful girl of yours would engage in with this hall. Hey, Satu, this is the first time this hall has been seen by a woman other than the mother concubine! You must take responsibility for this hall!" it declared.

Upon hearing this, Helian Weiwei silently opened her eyes. "You may leave," she said.

The white cat was taken aback, not expecting someone to reject its advances. A hint of strangeness flashed across its heart. However, it quickly regained its composure, speaking in a noble and lazy manner. "If it weren't for the fact that the Bai Ze clan places great importance on repaying favors, do you think this hall would consider being responsible for you?"

"The Bai Ze clan?" Helian Weiwei crossed her arms, studying the white cat from head to toe. "Descendants of the ancient divine beasts?"

The white cat coldly snorted in response.

"If you truly wish to repay the favor, then do so," Helian Weiwei said as she took a bite of the grilled fish. She noticed the white cat's body stiffen, and she smiled again. "Don't worry, I won't ask you to do anything difficult. Just help me find an ordinary divine beast to form a contract with me. Then, guide me out of this eerie place. I've been wandering around and discovered some peculiarities here. Is it a magical formation?"

The white cat's eyes showed surprise as it looked at Helian Weiwei. Few humans could detect magical formations in the forest so quickly. This woman wasn't foolish.

"That's right, it's a magical formation. Judging by your attire, you must be a student of Taibai Academy," the white cat sneered. "If it weren't for you, those low-level divine beasts wouldn't need to set up these magical formations. Divine beasts already have a strong aversion to humans. They pretend to be injured in the forest and lure kind-hearted divine beasts over, leading to mass slaughters. The blood of divine beasts is then used to cultivate martial energy."

Helian Weiwei furrowed her brows. "Is that so? According to what I've heard from the eunuch before, humans and sacred beasts have a long history of coexistence as guardians and protectors. How can there be such slaughter?"

"You're unaware?" the white cat continued, puffing up its whiskers. "That means someone is acting behind the back of your Taibai Academy's dean."

Before Helian Weiwei could respond, she noticed several unknown small animals surrounding her. They were different from the ones she had seen before, with brightly colored coats that emitted a faint luster. It was evident that they were not ordinary creatures. But what were they doing?

Were they mushrooms? Or were they toxic?

Were they crucians? Were they still alive and jumping?

Helian Weiwei watched as the little divine beasts brought things to her and quickly scampered away. She picked up the gifts, which were beyond the realm of human food, and hooked her lips into a smile. "You're giving these to me?" she asked.

The little divine beasts nodded their tiny heads in unison.

Helian Weiwei toyed with the gifts, her smile growing wider. "Thank you," she said.

Upon hearing her words, the little divine beasts happily gathered together, chirping and twittering.

The white cat stood nonchalantly, glancing at Helian Weiwei with an expression that seemed to say, "Even for such innocent creatures, you humans can bear to harm them. It's truly despicable."

Helian Weiwei fell silent. In her understanding, to tame a divine beast, one needed to engage in battles with creatures like fierce tigers, and the winner determined who would listen to whom. After all, in this world, only the strong survived. But to exploit the kindness of these innocent creatures and cause harm—it was truly a shame.

Helian Weiwei's thoughts were interrupted as she was stunned. Not far away, a colossal black monster stood, its red eyes fixed on her, seemingly considering her as its after-dinner dessert...
