When I started to wake up the first thing I noticed was the sound of whining, and the feel of the cold on my skin. The bit from being so cold for so long. I could barely move my body I felt so stiff. Everything hurts. I may even have frost bite. I look around in search of Tracy. I also noticed it was not snowing anymore but there was still snow everywhere.
The second I see her, I take in our surroundings. There are wolves everywhere Tracy is asleep and we are dangling by our parachute ropes. If I can get myself climbed up, I can pull Tracy up. I slowly start moving around getting myself warmed up. My arms and legs is what I start with. Bending them back and forth.
Before I knew it my arms where pumping, going from straight to bent back behind me. Back to straight. And my legs where moving up and down.
In no time I was able to grab the rope and start pulling myself up. I heard growling right behind me and look to find that big gray wolf from before right below me. I picked my legs up and held them there, and started to climb again. As I pulled myself up. The growling got worse. My heart was pounding hard. My moves were suppose to show a sign of submission, but he didn't care. He wasn't going to care. So I climbed up, and when I got to the top where my parachute is stuck at, at the top of the tree, I unhooked my back pack to rid myself of the parachute. Then I climbed over to where Tracy was.
As I was making my way over my foot slipped causing me to slip and fall. I flayed my arms out, grabbing out at anything. My fingers touched a vine and I grabbed for dear life. Several of the wolves are barking and growling under us. Jumping up trying to get me. My heart was pounding. I let out the most terrified scream I have ever even thought. Why is this happening to us? I don't understand why us? I cry against the rope. I look at Tracy and remember. I have to help her. She needs my help.
After I get myself completely calm again, I start climbing up ate vine. My arms were stinging so bad, my legs hurt, everything felt like it weighed like 100 pounds. So this climb was harder than the last. As I got to the limb I climbed off the vine and onto the limb I was on before. I started slowly making my way to Tracy again, way more careful this time.
When I got to her I immediately started pulling her up, then laid her over the tree limb. I checked her pulse to realize she was already dead. I sat back and started to cry again this time with dread. I crawled to the tree trunk and started making my way down. To a lower part of the tree so when the sun goes down and most of them run off I'll find something to eat. I look are that's gonna be hard with the wolves. A few curious wolves got closer and whined, one was cream colored, and the other two solid white white one black eye opposite each other. They are acting like they want to be petted, but the big grey wolf ran up growling and snarling, snapping at them making them run off.
His ears flattened back as he watched me in the tree. He sneezed a couple times and trotted off. He stopped when I slid my foot to the next tree limb. His ears twitched. When I put my wait on it to see if he's going to let me down, he growled. His hairs has stayed on end. Feeling threatened by me. He must be the alpha of all these wolves. When my foot was placed firmly back on the tree he stalked away. My stomach was growling, and I felt sick. I dry heaved over the side. After I was done I started looking around at possible food. I may can just climb threw the trees to get food, or get away. That's it! I smiled a new found hope I might get out of this alive after all.
The next tree over had a berry bush next to it, and full of berries. I smiled to myself, even better. I started climbing to the bush hopefully that wolf won't mess with me.
as I got to the next tree, I noticed the big grey wolf had come back. He had two rabbits in his mouth. I decided minding my own business was best and continued to the berry bush. My stomach growling worse by the inch.
When I made it to the next tree over, I lowered myself to the next limb. I checked my surroundings, but none of the wolves noticed. So I reached down and started picking the berries off and eating them. They were so juicy and fulfilling. I got full off the berries and laid back on the tree. And watched the wolves play around me. Eventually they will pass.
