Greasing the Wheels

The people of Stonefall Village were asked to stay either inside or around the Luxem Manor.

Not working at this time of the day felt extremely unfamiliar to them, as they were used to long and hard hours, but they had been told to temporarily take shelter. For the sake of their safety, they could only do what was asked.

“What’s happening in the village, Doran? Can you see?” one of the villagers asked the Hunter.

“The Kobolds are giving the guards of Baron Illus a beating,” Doran replied.

“Hah! And everyone here was getting all worried about what was happening.” Spike chuckled. “Didn’t we tell you that Master Ryan has got it covered?”

“Your house’s wall went tumbling down, by the way,” Doran dryly said.

“W-What?!” Spike said.

“It was part of the traps,” Doran clarified and then shook his head as he watched the ongoing fight at the top of the hill.
