Chapter 09: Thalia

I am Thalia. I am an adventurer from our village. I grew up without a Father and only had my mother and sister. A few weeks ago my Mother and her partner died on a Mission. But me and my sister still had to provide food for ourselves. So we decided to become adventurers as well. But on our first mission, we walked directly into a setup trap from goblins. Normally they aren't strong, but they are strong in numbers which was our downfall. But we were still able to kill three of them. We got captured and brought to their camp. We were terrified and I felt even more fear when my sister was bound to a stump of a tree and slowly burnt alive. She didn't even scream for long until she died. I had to watch these monsters eat her. I was traumatized. I cried my soul out but it didn't help.

After I while I began to think of a plan to free myself. I found a sharp stone and picked it up, I hid it behind my back and wanted for a distraction.

The camp was placed in a clearing in the forest and there was a little path into the forest. And there was a stick falling to the ground. I wanted to use the opportunity to free myself but they only sent one goblin to investigate what it was, so I didn't get to escape.

After a few minutes, the goblin still wasn't back so another one went to look for the first goblin. I slowly got scared, why weren't the goblins coming back?

After the second goblin also didn't come back. The goblins who were gagging me screamed and fell over and now I saw it, a snake. It quickly bit into the neck of the goblin. The snake even waited until I cut the rope and then we attacked the two goblins that were left. It went pretty quickly.

When we were done we looked at each other and I still don't know why said what I was gonna say now but I said: "Thanks".

After that, I was perplexed because the snake seemed to nod its head.

I assumed that it was intelligent. That wasn't normal, some monsters were intelligent but they were normal at a much higher level. But I continued and said: "My name is Thalia."

The author here, that's it for today I am trying my best for the POV of Thalia but it's hard.

Thanks for reading.
