Queen vs Xavier

The army of angels rushed forward, and it was evident that the generals were much faster. A sparkle of golden lightning flickered in the Queen's eyes as a massive golden-colored bolt struck her, instantly destroying the spike. A massive rune formation erected on the ground, its position given away by a faint golden glow.

My transformation has finished, and now my body is completely accustomed to black mana. The Queen, known for her unmatched proficiency in runes, floated in mid-air, covered in runes. Observing the massive 50-meter radius rune, I knew time was running out. I launched hundreds of black spikes toward her body, but they were blocked by a golden shield. The three generals had arrived.

Hmm! The black mana seemed weaker in long-range attacks, better suited for close combat. I took a huge leap towards the Queen, aiming to tear her apart with my claws. However, the damn generals intercepted each of my claws with their bodies. Furious, I started my rampage, but they held on with their lives.

The army had entered the rune formation and was setting up various defensive formations. These generals were truly annoying. Increasing my speed, I managed to catch one of them. Black threads released from my hands, enveloping her in a cocoon, and then I devoured her.

Watching the horrified looks on their faces was truly satisfying. I couldn't see what was happening inside the formations, as the entire army was solely focused on maintaining them. Something seemed suspicious, and I had to find out what was going on.

Using some of my tentacles, I destroyed their formations, only to discover that they were sacrificing their lives by slicing their throats with knives made of light. Golden-colored flames burned their bodies, cleansing or devouring everything.

"That bitch, she's killing everyone. I completely fell for it."

Summoning thousands of tentacles with a substantial amount of mana, I killed everyone inside the runes and tore Queen's body into pieces. Taking advantage of the situation, I devoured the remaining generals. I had yearned for a sweet revenge, but it seemed fate had decided on something bitter.

As I retrieved the core, I noticed the rune glowing brighter. Suddenly, a massive pillar of golden light descended from the heavens itself, resembling a nuclear blast that obliterated everything in its path. I conjured a massive shield of black liquid to protect myself.

After a minute, when the blast subsided, a colossal golden statue, dwarfing me, came into view. It was golden in color, holding a spear and shield, and adorned with Spartan female armor.

My body was in bad condition, nearly destroyed, and the city... well, there was no city left within a kilometer radius. Only five people survived this blast: the four generals, three in my body and one remaining. Somehow, my shield had managed to withstand it.

I had mutated their bodies and minds, and now the once four generals of the angelic army were my mere puppets. I would use them as my trump card.

The statue hadn't attacked me; I supposed she wanted me to be prepared. My body was nearly finished regenerating. Finally, at the end of the day, I would have a sweet taste of victory.
