43. So who's next?

After giving the healer a tidbit of guidance to avoid getting beat up for nothing, silver takes up a fresh spot, stretching her body out with a smirk at the gathered crowd. "Come on, I haven't even had a good warm up! If no one steps forward, I will have no choice than to make a royal decree of daily spars!" Silver jests playfully, knowing full well she isn't one to impose petty royal decrees. But, to her surprise it's the newest addition to the group, storm that flashes over, apparently having hoped to catch silver unguarded with their ability to move within their light instantly, but not much in the world can escape silvers new eyes. Ducking low and dropping to her knees before folding back, her flexible body allowing her to get as low to the floor as possible her knees looking almost disjointed. "Nice try, but not much escapes me these days..." Silver says watching a confused storm, whom flashed in sight mid attack only to find nothing there. Using her metal arm to push off the ground snapping up to strike storm just before they can flash again, having just landed the blow when they flashed, predictably behind her, attempting to land a solid kick, but silver didn't live through a thousand fights to get out classed by a teleporting opponent. Rolling her shoulders as she dives deftly forward, before popping up with a chuckle. "For a flash stepper you're pretty fetching slow, don't tell me you neglected your agility stat this whole time? Shameful!" Silver taunts, with a smirk, brushing herself off as she watches a bewildered and frustrated storm look her over, reevaluating their choice of fighting silver. Have you fought someone else with a similar ability? Storm asks warily. "One or two, they neglected agility holding faith their ability could make up forgot and pumped intelligence and strength...I am a beast kin with natural affinity for agility, just because I cant see you coming every time, the attack patterns are usually the same. Show me something new if you want to learn something, here's a tip, don't use it to attack, but to parry." Silver says, looking over storm. Parry? How do you think flash step can parry? Instead of answering the question, silver simply attacks, moving swiftly, leaving a blur behind as she moves, simply swiping her metal arms as if looking to drag her claws over storm's face. Storm, barely having a second to react, flashes out of the way, a contemptuous look on their face, as if saying HOW DARE YOU. But silver, being silver doesn't relent, shifting swiftly as she goes on the offense, striking and forcing storm to flash, only to meet their next location and strike again. This goes on until Storm is panting, from both pain and exertion having burned a bunch of mana trying their best to outrun silver. How do I parry that?! Storm demands exhaustedly. "Stop running and fight, instead of trying to dodge, use my own attack for your needs, flash into it!" Silver growls out, annoyed that storm spent this whole time more worried avoiding getting hurt, rather than finding a path through. "I swear, I thought the sword girl was bird brained but man you take the cake on this one" silver taunts. Watching Storm's face twitch as they glare at silver makes her chuckle under her breath. You don't even have flash step or any form of teleportation, what would you know what will work? Sighing silver shakes her head at storm. "Because I had to fight against a few people with a similar abilities, and the ones who made me worry the most were the creative ones choosing to push forward past attacks rather than retreating, its possible to get the drop on someone, but a seasoned fighter is a tough nut to crack with the usual pattern, bank on the usual and perform the unusual, exchange blows and instead of flashing away, flash forward. You would be a hard contender with practice, maybe not a monster, but definitely someone to be wary of." Silver shrugs before dashing forward, giving storm no time to digest, striking them fiercely, having been drained, storm tried to flash once more, but this time silver is even more aggressive, delivering painful blows with each motion. 'Come on think storm, use the empty space between those ears!' Silver pushes forward hard, meeting each flash point of storms near instantly and raining blows, waiting for them to think it through. This continues for nearly twenty minutes before storms light shifts but instead of away, its forward, only a few inches away from silvers out stretched fist, though she had been keeping the other hand primed for this, as soon as he moved, she struck again, landing a shot to storms kidney hard enough to double over. "Bout time bird brain, now you've finally figured out how to parry flash, but you need to learn how to use parry flash without getting kidney shot, i think this is enough for today..." Silver says, lightly patting storms back. Turning away, she walks away letting out a breath, just as storm puts a message in front of silver. You call that a parry flash? Felt more like a mistake. "You successfully moved past one attack in an attempt to get the advantage, that's not a mistake, you just failed to connect the dots on the fact I have two fists now. But I think you should pair up with someone who is a bit more your class to practice for awhile, a week should suffice before we take any more steps for you, hm...i recommend sparring O, Micah, or liam, to practice flash parries I don't recommend revealing your path of practice to micah, surprise him with it, you might see a positive result there, liam is a good shield bearer, so he will give you a hard stop challenge for parry flash, and O would be the one with the most predictable tricks to use flash step at least for now. But personally, its your choice." Silver shrugs walking off after answering Storm's question as best she can we a bit of teaching hopefully. "With that, I will conclude today's one on one lessons, do what you like."
