Daredevil and Moon Knight were on their way to Roxxon Oil HQ to meet with Hiram Jones. A terrible scream grabbed their attention. A young woman ran down the street. Her clothes were torn and soiled. "Please!" she cried. "Somebody help me!"

Before they could react, the pretty girl ran up the steps of a beautiful cathedral. She disappeared behind the ornate doors of the sanctuary. When Daredevil and Moon Knight entered the church, they found the place very dark. The only illumination were several small candles standing near the altar. In the dim light, Moon Knight could see the vague forms of a dozen monks sitting in the pews. Their features were concealed by hooded robes.

At the altar was a priest. He was comforting the frightened girl. The two of them looked up at the heroes as they entered. The priest beckoned for the two heroes to come forward. Crying and wimpering, the girl held the priest.

When Daredevil and Moon Knight began walking down the aisle, Wildboy gang-members who had been disguised as monks sprung out of the pews and began attacking with switchblades and chains. The sobbing girl then began maniacally laughing, and revealed that she was the villain Typhoid Mary and had used her persuasion power to lure the heroes into the church. Wielding two machetes that had been stashed behind the altar, Typhoid Mary attacked. The priest disappeared into the darkness.

As the battle turned for Mary and the Wildboys, the fake priest stepped into the concessional, where the real priest had been bound and gagged. "Surrender, or the priest gets it!" the villain cried. He held a pistol to the clergyman's head.

At that moment, the heroes had little choice but to comply with the Villain Ammo's orders. When the fighting had completely halted, Ammo said, "My boss has words for ya. So, ya costumed freaks are comin' with me."

Led by gunpoint, the heroes are ordered to pile into a beat-up van parked behind the church. Typhoid Mary joined them in the passenger seat.

Before they drove away, Ammo left three thugs at the cathedral to guard the priest. He warned the heroes to remain peaceful, or he would have the clergyman killed. Ammo ordered the thug to execute the priest if he didnt recieve a call within 10 minutes of their departure. The remaining thigs were to follow Ammo and Typhoid Mary on motorcycles which had also been stashed behind the church.

The bizarre convoy headed towards the financial district. Ammo stuck to alleys and side-streets, preferring to steer clear of major roads and police patrols. The heroes sat on the floor of the van. They were not bound. However, Typhoid Mary sat in the passenger seat with a pistol trained on them. Moon Knight made a sudden move towards Ammo in the driver seat, and Typhoid Mary immediately tried to fire off a shot. Missing both Moon Knight and Ammo, the bullet shot through the side of the van. After the shot, Ammo slammed on the breaks causing everyone to tumble around inside the van and for one of the motorcycles to crash into the rear of it. In the struggle, Daredevil disarmed Typhoid Mary. Ammo evaded being subduded by Moon Knight and the two villains leapt from the vehicle to confront the heroes on the street.

Ammo opens fire on the van from the street before motioning for the thugs to thrust open the rear doors. As soon as the door opens Daredevil attacks the Thugs, while Moon Knight who hide escaped through the passenger side snuck up behind Typhoid Mary and grabbed her. Holding Mary hostage was suitable for stopping Ammo, who was bludgeoned by Daredevil. Moon Knight then knocked Mary unconscious with a powerful elbow to the back of her head.

"How long have we got?" Daredevil asked, looking back in the direction of the church.

"4 minutes." Moon Knight estimated, as he leapt onto one of the wildboys' abandoned motorcycle.

Moon Knight and Daredevil sped back on the stolen motorcycle, barreling down the alleys as the bike's engine became a cacophonous roar. As they approached the cathedral they saw several police vehicles gathered outside. The priest was safe, one of the thugs had been shot when the clergyman wrestled his gun away shortly after Ammo and Typhoid Mary had taken the heroes from the church. The other 2 thugs fled, and the priest called the cops.
