Lucien's eyes widened in shock as he absorbed Blaise's words. He took a step back, releasing Blaise from his arms.
"Why are you saying that, Blaise?" Lucien asked, confused. "Why can't I fall in love with you?"
Blaise turned away from Lucien and moved towards the window, his gaze fixed on the sliver of white moon hanging in the night sky. A sigh escaped his lips before he began to speak, his voice barely above a whisper.
"It's because you're too normal, Lucien," Blaise said at last, hanging his head.
Lucien took a few strides towards Blaise. He didn't expect Blaise to say that. "Is being normal a bad thing?"
Blaise turned to face Lucien, a bittersweet smile playing on his lips. "No, Lucien. It's not a bad thing at all. In fact, it's a good thing."
