6:00AM

"Damn, I hate getting up early."

Vito turned his head to look around the room and noticed a digital clock lying on top of the miniature table to the side of the bed. "At this point, I don't even question how it got here."

It was 6:00 am on the dot, and he had gotten about 6 hours of sleep.

His glowing shoulder though still emitting a faint green light was slowly starting to fade away as he woke up.

"Does this thing serve as an alarm, as well as providing healing powers? That would be kind of cool."

"A shame that the moment that I want to get out of bed is the moment when my bed feels the most comfortable. It has to be criminal how soft and warm this is, there has to be some science behind it."

Looking up at the ceiling, Vito noticed that the little specs that were glowing were also fading away as though mimicking the way that stars react as day comes by. This might have been a reaction to being exposed to the early sunlight.

Not wanting to get up but not wanting to lay around either, Vito reluctantly pushed aside the blankets that lay on top of him and stood up off his bed.

He noticed two doors that were in his room, he figured that these served as bathrooms but was curious as to why there were two of them. "Perhaps the shower and toilet are separate from one another?"

Looking through the first door that was pinkish in color, there was a hot tub, with steps leading up towards it, and towels, pink slippers, and a purple robe were all lying to the side of it and folded neatly on some hangers in the room. There were some vents placed all around the top walls to prevent steam from taking up too much of the air in the room.

Astonished once again at the amount of effort placed into his room, Vito excitedly went over to check on the other door in his room.

This one is colored in a vibrant red, with dark striking lines going down it like thunder from the sky. But despite the destruction caused by thunder, this one looks a lot more like nature allowing itself to flow like this.

Beyond this door was a black and gold toilet lying closer to the door when you enter, to allow quicker access to it. Past the toilet is a black and white bathtub almost the size of the hot tub, covered with some ocean blue curtains, and to the right of it, there is a black showerhead on the wall with a see-through glass door to keep water from hitting the bathroom floor.

There is also a stool inside this room. "Another stool, huh? Something tells me Alex put this here."

"All in all, the two rooms have provided me with three different options to wash myself, and out of all of them, I am going for the hot tub."

With a click of a button, the water starts bubbling as he sinks in to let his body relax. The sensation was immaculate. As the warm water brushed his skin, he could feel the dirt and sweat wash away as he was met with a sense of relief. "

If there's ever been a moment that could get you addicted on your first experience with it, then it would be this one" he said with a *sigh* as the steam from the bath filled the room.

After around 10 minutes of soaking in the bathtub, Vito convinced himself to get out less he fell asleep in the bath. It took a lot of conviction to let go of something that pleasant. He convinced himself that it was time to stop relaxing in the bath and to actually take a shower.

He put on the purple robe and pink crocs and walked over to the other bathroom in his room. Entering inside he found some other essentials like toothpaste, an unused toothbrush, and everything else you would need in a bathroom. As well as a white sink that he never noticed the first time.

The water bouncing off my skin from the shower felt nice but it couldn't compare to how that hot tub made him feel, for a moment he almost went back towards it, but he perished that thought as he remembered that he had to meet up with the other members in his group.

After bathing, brushing his teeth, and doing everything else that needed to be done, Vito walked back into his main room and found a net set of clothes placed on the bed with a note that said, "These are for you, for your daily activities today. We shall also wash your other clothes and change your bedding before you depart. So rest assured, you'll go back home feeling better than when you came in."

"I doubt that they can truly make me feel better, taking into account what happened last night, but everything else they have done has been amazing so far. Perhaps I should consider staying with them? Ha, who am I kidding?"

On top of the bed was a pair of black cargo pants, with a skin-tight black T-shirt, lying to the side, a black hat with some white lines on the side going across from it, a white vest, and a black and white watch on the bed, as well as a pair of new white shoes lying on the floor.

Vito lifted up the shirt and clutched it in between his hands as they were shaking Vigorously. He knew that he didn't deserve the treatment he was getting acting what he had tried to do and yet despite them knowing about it they still showed him this kindness.

Proving that he wasn't less as valuable as he perhaps thought he was since he wasn't chosen.

Wasting no time he got into his new clothes and hugged himself feeling the smooth fabric on his skin. And the clothes he wore carried a lavender scent on them. No sooner had I finished embracing my clothes than I heard a knock on the door.

*Knock, knock, knock

"Who is it?", he asked.

"Vito Gotti, it is Minty from the night before. I have come to ask you to come and eat if you have finished dressing and preparing yourself. I will also be the one personally taking care of your room service today. The dining room has also been moved to the 3rd floor to allow for a show this morning."

"One moment please," Vito replied as he latched on his sling chest shoulder backpack. He had detached the sling on it when carrying it around earlier and had put it back on now.

The only problem he felt was the fact that Cyrus had placed blanks in his gun, he didn't know how he would use an unloaded gun but he figured the chances of using it were low so it didn't matter much anyway.

"Alright Minty, thank you for waiting, will you be guiding me to the dining room?" He asked for he was worried he wouldn't find it if it had moved.

"Don't worry dear, you'll know the way." She smiled as she motioned for me to carry on.

Looking back down the hall, Vito stared at the doors of the others. And thought to himself, "I hope this morning won't be as awkward as I imagine."

Taking a few turns down the hallway that Minty had pointed towards, Vito felt lost.

"This place changes a lot, someone with a short attention span would go crazy." Just as he said these words he reached a stairway at the end of the hall. "Stairs huh? I guess in the end, Alex got me again."

Walking straight up the stairs Vito came across a large set of double doors that opened when he tried to reach for the handles. Past the doors, he couldn't help but be amazed at the large dining hall that was covered with brightly painted gold walls, each pillar had flower decorations placed over them and one could see the outside view from the balcony covered in white ribbons.

"So this is where they have gathered everyone, far more fancy than a bar."

Inside the dining hall were more people than he remembered seeing, it looked as though people he couldn't see clearly the other day were now also present and enjoying themselves in here.

Even the servants that were skating around yesterday were in here, but he felt like a few of them were missing.

In front of him towards the right, he spotted Cyrus who was waving at him gently, and Edith who sitting next to him.

Taking a small breath, he walked on over and imagined how he would start a conversation with them, 'Hey guys, so I am sorry I tried to kill Terra yesterday and you too Cyrus and I probably might have shot Edith if I saw her hiding behind the bush. Anyways are we still friends?'

No matter how he tried to change the image, this was how the conversation would go each time.

"Man, I thought you'd be sleeping forever and miss the whole thing. I was debating whether to go and throw you off your bed or leave you to your everlasting beauty sleep." Cyrus chuckled as he made this remark.

"If you did try that then you would be asking for a beating, Cyrus," Vito said as he placed his hand on his seat.

Cyrus makes his glasses fall slightly below his eyes as he says, "Oh please, I could take you," with a smirk on his face.

"Ehem!" ... "Are you forgetting who is here? Hmm?" Edith snapped as she crossed her arms leaning into her chair.

"Oh, sorry Edith, I-I got carried away, and, good morning, how are you??"

"Hah," she groans. "Just sit down Vito."

Vito takes his sit but is perplexed at how awkward he feels to be talking to her compared to his earlier conversation with Cyrus. 'Is something wrong with me?' he wondered, being absolutely oblivious to the slight sensations that had crossed his shoulder.

Pulling away from his clothes, he noticed that the clothes they were wearing were different from last night.

Cyrus is wearing a sky-blue shirt with dark blue pants and a black belt. He has black shoes on and his glasses also seem to have a tint of blue to them. His short hair looks smooth today and he smells like marigold mixed with peace lilies.

As for Edith, she is wearing a brown cardigan, with a white crop top that is large enough to cover most of her stomach with it. She has a pair of blue jeans with rips around her thighs as if to bring attention to it. She also has a pair of white shoes on. And she smells like a gardenia flower.

"Uhm, Vito? Is something the matter?" Hearing Edith say these words snapped him back into reality. "You are staring an awful lot."

"Oh I'm sorry," he replied. "Those clothes just, really look good on you Edith."

She brightened up a little with surprise from those words, she wasn't expecting to hear a compliment.

"Oh, why thank you. Yours looks good on you as well." She says while turning her head to avoid eye contact.

"Thank you," he said back to her.

Cyrus watched their back and forth and could deduce that there was a little tension in the air and as much as he wanted to meddle in between and poke fun at both parties he decided that since they may not see each other after today he would keep off his teasing.

Vito not wanting to create awkward silence asked out loud, "I wonder what's going to happen today? Minty had mentioned something about a show going on."

"I see. The woman from the night before. So she called you too." Cyrus said as he leaned back into his chair with his arm hanging on one end.

"What do you mean, you too?" Vito asked.

"Well, it seems she was the one doing room service for my room and yours as well, though she came to my room first."

Edith stretched out her arms and back with an exasperated sigh, "You guys are lucky. Sasha was the one who cleaned my room."

Vito was about to ask what was wrong with Sasha and then he remembered that Edith was embarrassed last night because of her. He still found her to be fun though.

As they were in their discussion Terra finally walked in and looked around to figure out where they were. After spotting them he walked on over to grab a seat.

His choice of clothing is more casual than Vito had expected from him.

He was wearing a pair of smooth and flexible black sweatpants as well as having on a white hoodie with the hood off. He has on a black leather Jacket on top of the hoodie and it seems like I can see the rims of a white shirt inside the hoodie and then finishing off the look with a pair of white shoes.

And to top it all off he smelled like a daffodil flower.

"Hey guys!" He waved as he got closer to the group, "Uhm, Vito is something the matter? You're looking at me, really intensely." Terra asked as he placed his hand down slowly.

"It's just that, you know, I thought that Earth's representative would go off wearing something a bit more, formal than this. You are wearing a hoodie. A hoodie." Vito emphasized.

Terra after finding out that this was what was bothering him and not the fact that he was still alive somewhat relaxed himself before he quickly tensed up again, "Hey! hoodies are life, you can't get anything better than this."

Arguing back Vito tried to further prove his point, "Terra, you have on sweatpants too."

Terra shrugged, "I prefer to be comfortable with my look. Besides, those skin-tight clothes you have on aren't doing you any favors."

"Hey, I have a pretty good figure and these clothes are perfect for showing that off."

Vito then proceeded to pose for a little while on the chair in hopes of putting a smile on people's faces and lightening up the mood. Instead what he got was Edith shaking her head downwards with her hand on it and Cyrus holding back a small laugh.

Embarrassed and disappointed by his foolishness, Vito shrugged back down to his former position.

After Terra sat down, Vito couldn't help but believe that this was the right moment to apologize for the actions of his past, he wanted to truly place this under the rug. But before he could even say a word about this, Cyrus asked Terra a question.

"How do you feel? Being the youngest man to ever go to space? Exciting isn't it? Except for the part where if you lose we would all be thrown into our deaths."

Hearing this had caused a loud silence to be heard. Everyone there had been avoiding that statement. Death can be a very complex thing and although it is sometimes called beautiful, a mass casualty such as an entire planet, would be nothing more than a horror to see and a cruelty to experience.

Terra was quiet for a moment, they all were. They knew what would happen if he lost. It's why so many people were cheering him on yesterday. It's why so many are here to see him off. It's why Vito had tried to kill him off.

Vito once again wished to apologize but the picture he imagined about how to go about it kept playing similarly, 'Sorry I tried to kill you while you were under the pressure of carrying the whole world on your back, we cool, right?'

As Vito was thinking, Terra had answered Cyrus's question, "You know Cyrus, I am scared. I won't lie to you, I am really scared and almost lonely when I think about going to space all by myself."

"But besides that, I am relieved. I am relieved that it's me. I don't want anyone else to have to worry and go through the anxiety that comes with this title. I believe that I can make it, even better, that I will make it and keep the planet that we've known and loved safe."

"So you guys don't have to worry, everything will be okay. I will protect our home."

Edith then bumps her elbow against his shoulder. "Well, you sure fooled me, with the way you were handling everything I surely thought that worrying was beneath you. Glad to get to see this side of you before you leave."

Cyrus sighs and raises his glasses a bit. "That's because compared to me, you're as blind as a bat I could easily see that he was nervous."

Edith chuckles sarcastically, "Me? Blind? You must be crazy Cyrus, you're the one with glasses."

"And yet I'm the one with good eyes, tell me, why is that, Edith?" Cyrus said this slowly, just enough to tick her off for the fun of it.

Vito seizing his opportunity breaks up their little argument, "Okay everyone, can we please focus on Terra? Terra look, I know you've been through a lot and I know you're going through a lot right now but let me just say to you...."

Before Vito could finish or even begin for that matter of fact, the room goes slightly dark and they all hear a familiar-sounding voice, it belongs to Alex. And he sounded full of life.

"Alright ladies and gentlemen, thank you all so much for being here this morning. We have a big celebration planned for our chosen representative Terra Vian and an even bigger surprise to commemorate this occasion."

"We know of the worry that comes with knowing that our future is not guaranteed, but the one thing we can do to keep off those awful thoughts is to enjoy ourselves, what we have, and what we have right now."

"Let us enjoy the gift of the moment that was given to us and we shall work hard to earn the gift of the future that is yet to be."

"LADIES AND GENTLEMEN, IT IS TIME FOR A SHOW!"
