A Surprising Show!

The room darkens and curtains fall over to cover the walls in the room and to keep out light from the balcony nearby.

As the room darkens, it begins to feel more spacious and cold, silence takes hold and it is as if there was never any life to begin with.

From the top of the darkness in what may or may not be the room that they resided in, falls a little red light. Warm and dim but still marvelous for the eyes to behold.

The light was shimmering and fickle as if it could be extinguished with a simple gush of wind. It wavers in the coldness of the dark but never lets out despite being all alone.

The light struggled for a while but it burned with determination and then finally, it was born anew as an orange little light.

This Orange light was filled with passion and positivity. It danced around in the center for a while, bringing with it joy and happiness. But what use is joy if you only enjoy it alone? It felt like it could be more, stronger, bigger.

It burned yellow.

This time the cold wasn't so cold and the warmth could be felt in an even purer form. This light was a blessing to have, but not the final stage of the miracles yet to come. For it, complete darkness shouldn't exist as long as its light would shine.

As the people marveled upon the lights, they gained a deeper appreciation of the value of the stars above. "This must be the first star." They thought, "This must be, the beginning."

Terra refocused his mind on the star above and watched as it broke through into another stage more dazzling the the one before.

As it grows, the flames get bigger, the area around it even hotter, it looks furious as if to devour everything surrounding it, and in an attempt to better itself, it explodes.

Shockwaves get sent out in all directions, a slight pushback is felt around us, and for the first time, we begin to hear the sound surrounding the star above our heads. It is now glowing a pure white light like one never seen before.

The glow from this white light was almost blinding but it was like their eyes had begun to adjust well enough to see it, despite the amount of light it was emitting. With this glow comes a feeling of peace and satisfaction like no other and with another small push the star effortlessly turns blue.

Cyrus who was watching attentively thought to himself, "Among all the stages of flame, blue has always been known to burn the brightest to this day and now I know why, this was the order in which the flames of this world were made. But could this be it? Could this simply be the start of flames? No, there has to be more to it. There's no way this show can end here."

The star looked sad. It knew it could never get any brighter than this, but it seemed unsatisfied with its work. Like there is more that it can do and surely enough there was. The star grew and expanded. It got bigger and bigger and it was not so little now.

It reached as far as it could and for a moment, it looked like it smiled.

AND ANOTHER EXPLOSION WAS FELT.

The place trembles and shakes as even the chairs and tables move around as though they were fragile, the tremor nearly causes Vito to fall off his seat and a few others do.

Edith's upper body fell on over to Vito's lap and she hit her head on him a little, holding her hand, he help push her back up properly on her seat.

"Thanks," she tried to whisper it to him despite how loud the explosion part was, but he was able to make out the words enough to hear it. "No problem," he mouthed back to her.

They turned their heads back up to take a look at the star and to their surprise, they saw something beautiful. Different stars, different lights, different shapes of all kinds, both big, small, green, purple, and even a few black holes.

"So that's where you're from," Vito muttered quietly.

The world around them, everything, the planets, the lights, the stars, all came from one little light that wanted to be bigger than it already was.

To say that the lights around them were amazing wouldn't even be an understatement for there are no words that could describe how beautiful the lights above were right now. The area around them felt clearer, there was this peace and joy like no other filling up the room and the people felt happy to have existed to see this event.

Terra whose eyes hadn't stopped glowing from the show could only describe the scene he saw in one way, "It's as if there was a fireworks festival but every time a firecracker is blown up, its light never fades away and when it hits another light, it only fills up any loneliness you would feel with a sense of joy and wonder.

Vito who was at the edge of his seat couldn't help but compare this show to the specs of light that were in his room, he realized that his room was trash. It could never amount to this immaculate feeling and sensation.

His mind lingered above for so long that he had forgotten where he was and stared stupidly at the stars above. It was not until he felt a slight squeeze at his hand that he was brought back to the realization of what was going on.

It was Edith. She never let go or more like, he never let go of her when he had grabbed her hand earlier during the explosion. She held his hand tightly and as she stared above, it was like she had forgotten that he was right here next to her.

He took this time to admire her for a little bit, 'I know it's rude for a guy to stare at a pretty girl's face for a long time, but when she doesn't notice it, then is it a crime? I don't think so.'

Her top hair falls a little, she smiles ever so evidently with an expression of awe and excitement, her neck is well exposed at the angle I am looking at and the scent of a gardenia flower finds its way back to him. There were sounds of smaller explosions happening around him and yet all I could focus on were the lights exploding in her eyes.

'The universe is expanding, so many secrets are being shown to us, and we are seeing images from space that you would never believed you would see from here right now. And yet why is it so amusing to watch her childlike wonder go wild?' he wondered.

It was for a moment, it was only for a moment, but Vito had wished he would be stuck here admiring her for a little while longer.

She squeezed his hand again and this time, it hurt. 'Ouch, she is strong. She mentioned being a part-time engineer but what does she do with those hands??? Though, it is cute to know that when she gets excited she might end up breaking stuff.'

He massaged his thumb around the back of her hand as he held it, but she didn't even notice. Instead, she fidgeted a little bit though but Vito took it that it was due to another small explosion that was going on. He was wrong.

She turned her head towards him with a small blush on her face and it was so unexpected for me that he ended up shying as well. She takes his hand off of hers and faces her head back to the stars. She then proceeded to completely deny his existence.

He sighs a little and turns his head back to the stars as well. 'At least they love to be admired by me.' he said in his mind.

And just when he was getting a little sadder about her simply tearing his arm off, he saw something else worth smiling for.

Mars.

The planets all around them, the solar systems, and everything in it were currently being shown to them right now. And then they got a close-up of Earth, home. This served as a reminder of what they were fighting for, for what Terra must fight for, and for what they have.

Even if everyone there had different mindsets, goals, and aspirations, they all shared one common interest among themselves.

They did not want to give up their home.

The closeup of Earth gets zoomed out and they go back to seeing the planets in the solar system surrounding the sun. The planets stop rotating for a moment to align themselves behind the sun. And with that the start up rotating again.

It showed them the planets spiraling around the sun. And they heard a soft voice that said out loud, "Each planet is different and unique. Each is of different size, shape, and structure, but each belongs to our solar system. They will help us in this event. Worry not, children of Earth."

And with those words uttered, the images that were above began to shake and rumble and even the room began to vibrate a little. As if to commence the ending of the show, the images of our solar system all begin to explode one at a time and end with the sun going supernova in right front of them.

The shockwave it gave was small compared to the blue star creating the universe, but to see a star going supernova and to feel some pushback despite it being an illusion of some sort, brings forth an excitement of some kind that can never get old no matter what.

The next thing they knew, the visuals that were being displayed had dispersed and they were in the room filled with complete darkness yet again. And with a snap of a finger, the lights turn right back on and we see Alex standing in the front of the room for everyone to see.

The room goes wild clapping from every table as the cheering goes on and on. Truly they have witnessed an event that they would have never imagined to see with their own eyes.

Alex calms them down and motions for them to keep quiet.

"Alright and with the presentation being shown to you, I just want to say thank you to you all for never giving up on yourself and making it this far in life. It wasn't easy, but you made it. You overcame a great many difficulties and you never stopped loving yourself no matter what happened. And with that being said, it is time for your breakfast!"

He points towards the center of the room where all of a sudden, there is a water fountain there. The water from the fountain rises and begins forming itself into animals such as an elephant or crocodiles and it even creates streams of floating water for us.

People began to wonder if this was another show taking place.

The water then began to float toward every table in the room and it inserted itself into the cups that were placed on the tables.

On the tables, a dish covered by a lid could also be seen on them and this had caused a stir in the room as the people wondered how this was possible. "Just when could they have had the time to sneak this onto our tables?" The wondered.

"Guests, you may open your dish and take part in your meal. For this day we wanted to start you off with something sweet for you to enjoy, you all have a separate choice of meal based on your preference and tastebuds. My guests, enjoy!" Alex said with a bow.

With that, everyone took off the lids to their meals. Each one has a different serving from the other.

Vito's dish was filled with dark chocolate cake mixed well with strawberries to add an extra kick of flavor.

Cyrus has his hands on an assortment of pancakes with some melted butter on top along with some coffee small packets of sugar and a small teapot of warm milk for him to add is lying on the side of his dish.

Terra has his hands on a large box of donuts of all kinds mixed with Earl Grey cinnamon rolls and Earl Grey morning buns, as well as a hot cup of Earl Grey tea waiting at his side.

Edith, on the other hand, has a medium-sized box full of a mixture of scones, buns, cupcakes, doughnut muffins, and chocolate chip cookies as well as a large glass of a strawberry milkshake.

Vito's mind began to monologue, 'First of all, I am hurt because I never received a drink and I can imagine why. It's probably because of what I did last night or tried to do last night. They are well aware of my actions hence they must have reprimanded my drink. At least that instead of getting kicked out.'

'Still more, I would have loved to have some Ice cream or maybe a smoothie on the side to enjoy this meal. Ha,' he groaned silently.

Cyrus picked up on him not having a drink and decided to laugh a little about it.

All the other tables had something different. Despite the theme of this breakfast being about sweets, some people had eggs on their plates instead and there was even someone eating French toast sticks.

Vito took a look at Edith's food and said to her, "Yeah I doubt that you'll finish all of that. Let me help you."

"Vito," She stops him as her hand visibly shakes, "I would fight for my food than give it away, hands off, while you still have them,"

'Ouch, it was just one donut muffin,' he sighed. He was disappointed in his endeavor but he wasn't going to push it and ask them to share. He decided he would solitary have his meal.

Cyrus smirked nonchalantly and said to him, "If you're that hungry for an extra snack, I don't mind sharing a pancake or two." He said as he lifted a pancake off the plate with a fork.

"Cyrus I don't want your buttery pancake at all, besides, I have my chocolate. I just thought that someone here wouldn't mind sharing a snack or two, but I guess I was wrong." Vito replied.

Cyrus giggled and said, "Of course you are, that girl looks like she could devour more than what's on her table. The sweets might not be enough for her."

Edith begins sending down death stares to Cyrus who simply faces down to eat his pancakes, he pays no mind to her.

Terra stops eating for a moment and looks at Vito.

"If you want Vito, you can have one of my donuts. I don't mind sharing."

Edith turns to him and says, "You are way too kind to him Terra."

"What?" Terra asks defensively. "It's only a donut."

Edith grins and says, "If you don't mind sharing so much, then I am taking an earl bun and a cinnamon roll from you."

Without waiting for a response, she scoops up two sweets from Terra's box and puts in one doughnut muffin for him to eat. "Here, you can have this to eat as well."

Cyrus doesn't even look away from his pancakes, he just chuckles and comments, "Two for the price of one? I told you that her sweets wouldn't be enough for her."

Edith's eye twitches a little. "Cyrus? Do you have something you want to say to my face?"

Cyrus sits upwards more and faces her. "Why yes of course. Wasn't that full planetary alignment just marvelous? I mean research shows that we only get to see something like that only once every 22 billion years. It was amazing seeing it now."

Edith shakes her head. "Why am I not surprised that that was what you would say."

"I mean can you blame me, Edith? That show was amazing, you have to admit that. And it showed us more than what we could ever imagine, it was so hard to take our eyes off of it. Unless of course, you were distracted by something else?" Cyrus smirks as he takes a sip of his cup of coffee.

Edith was oblivious to what he meant but after it was processed, she blushed and proceeded to look down.

Edith asked nervously, "What do you mean by that?"

Cyrus decides to brush it off instead, "Oh you know, the explosions were quite distracting. It must have felt like fireworks in your eyes."

Edith stammers a little as she tries to drink her milkshake, "Y-ye-yeah. Th-they were."

And Cyrus drank his coffee in Victory.
