Meanwhile, Lucy's mind was muddled with thoughts.
She glanced at Davis beside her, walking through the crowd and leading her to the nearby bar.
"Why was Mrs. Helena so shocked at seeing us?" Lucy couldn't help but ask, convinced very well that her eyes weren't playing a joke on her.
In response, Davis's eyes curved into a crystal moon, "Because she faced something terrifying."
"Terrifying on meeting us?" Lucy asked back but Davis shook his head. "It's just complicated with her. She has some lies and some pieces of her life which aren't unfolding. Too bad no one knows about them." Davis informed Lucy but found something hidden beneath his words.
She eyes him for a few minutes before words rolled from her lips, "...Except you to know?"
Davis brought her to the bar where he looked at the bartender and ordered a drink for himself.
Then he looked back at his dear wife, under the mask. Knowing her uneasiness, he couldn't help but tell her the truth in pieces.
