Chapter 3 : Poopy Party

Uno was always a laid-back person back on Earth. For the sake of ease, he always attempts to mid-max everything. If he can perform a task in exchange for a minor effort, he will cheerfully do it, even if the outcomes are not at the optimum level. Because Uno believes that it is not worth it, he always prioritizes comfort above difficulties. When you die, the sacrifices you made will rot in the dirt.

Uno is the family breadwinner because his father died of old age and his mother does not have consistent work. Fortunately, Uno was able to find a position that allows him to work from home and pays well. When Uno was a youngster, he came across stories from the past, people who left behind legacies such as the 'Romance of the Three Kingdoms' or even the manga 'Kingdom'. This spurred young Uno to pursue his own ambitions, but the world is no longer designed for it. This epoch is characterized by filthy rich businessmen and socially conscious politics. Because of modern civilization, Uno thought that his dream could no longer come true. As a result, Uno was lured towards internet entertainment and war-based video games in order to sneak glimpses of the past.

Uno is continuously yearning for something but has no idea what it is. He knows who he is; he wishes to be a strong warrior who will fight to the death to uphold his memories, but modern warfare is a tragic reality. All of the romanticized connotations of war are now gone, leaving only misery. Uno had lost his motivation and made the decision to live a carefree life.

In the vast wilderness, Uno made sure that he was in close proximity to [𝐁𝐫𝐞𝐞𝐳𝐞 𝐕𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐚𝐠𝐞] in order to ensure he could return before the sun went down. Uno explores to find and eliminate any rats he encounters.

Uno only managed to kill 7 [Grass Rats] in roughly 2 hours. Due to other people aiming to achieve their own missions, it appears that his chances of seeing a [Grass Rat] in the wild have decreased.

"Why this mission felt so easy? Hm...." Uno thought. Then, Uno contemplated carrying out the mission as soon as possible so that he could rest in the village till the mission was over. Since Uno has noticed a decrease in the population of [Grass Rats] around the village. He decided to venture further away from the village in search of more [Grass Rat].

After 1 hour, the enormous sun has already reached the center of the sky. Uno had killed 8 [Grass Rat] and cleared one [Grass Rat Nest]. "Urgh! The heat of the sun is insane, but at least the breeze is cool; I believe I only need to kill 18 more rats," Uno muttered.

Uno wandered about for perhaps fifteen more minutes.

"shit... there is a lair?" Uno began to move cautiously. "And why is the reward always unidentified," Uno wondered. When he peered into the distance, he noticed an enormous crater. The crater is riddled with holes, and rats can be found both within and outside.

Uno attempted to count the rats but gave up since they moved too quickly. He predicted that there might be anywhere from 20 to 30 rats in the pit.

Uno examined the [Grass Rat] movement in order to detect any predictability in the behavior of the rats in the pit. Uno noticed that some rats remain within the rat holes and that there are five rats resting outside the hole, with two rats appearing to be guarding the lair. The five rats that are resting are heaped up, and the two rats are pathing the crater's outer-top surface.

Uno has decided to eliminate the two roaming rats, but he is unsure how to kill the five rats since if he is delayed in killing them, the fight will notify the entire lair. Uno was able to devise a strategy in roughly fifteen minutes of brainstorming.

The two roaming [Grass Rats] are separated by a certain distance. Uno creeps close to a roaming [Grass Rat] and throws a stone in a faraway direction. The [Grass Rat] investigated what was happening and moved away from the crater. Uno waited until the [Grass Rat] gained some distance, at which point the [Grass Rat] realized that it was nothing and began to turn around. Uno subsequently utilized [𝐔𝐫𝐠𝐞] to sprint towards and strangle the [Grass Rat] to death. The rat struggled to break free and tried to squeal, but Uno tightened his grip to ensure that the rat wasn't producing a sound. The [Grass Rat] then ceased to move after Uno heard a neck snap.

Uno waited for [𝐔𝐫𝐠𝐞] to disappear and rested for five minutes before luring the other [Grass Rat]. Uno discovered that he cannot activate [𝐔𝐫𝐠𝐞] indefinitely and must wait between three to five minutes before activating it again. Uno wants to maximize his combat power for each fight to make certain he is not forced to invest additional effort.

Uno applied the same method to take down the last roaming [Grass Rat].

Uno kept his eye on the lair for any new changes or developments. Then one of the [Grass Rat] woke up and slowly stood up on four legs, disoriented. It is steadily advancing and intending to make its way to a certain place on the left-outer side of the lair. Uno analyzes the direction in which the rat intends to reach. Uno eye's gleamed and a strategy was formed.

While heading towards the exit of the lair, the [Grass Rat]'s eyes are still dazed. When it arrived at the desired location. It begins peeing, indicating that the area has been settled on as the [Grass Rat's] waste place. Back on Earth, rats may urinate anywhere, however, they prefer to urinate in an established spot, in some cases to mark out territories.

The [Grass Rat] was relieved, and then it began pooing and shutting its eyes.

Rustle...Rustle...THUD!!!

"Sorry about that, my man. I have to do what I have to do...." Uno mumbled.

Uno did not utilize his [𝐔𝐫𝐠𝐞] to control his energy points. Uno sensed that he was recuperating slowly and believed his efficiency would suffer as a result. Uno thought about investing his unallocated points for extra power but decided to save it.

Uno proceeded to observe the lair and then had the idea to bury all of the rat corpses in the waste place. Uno hid near the waste area and continued to observe the lair. Around five minutes, two of the remaining four [Grass Rats] woke up. One walked to the rat hole, while the other walked to the waste area. The second [Grass Rat] is still on the path to the waste area after the other [Grass Rat] entered the rat hole. Uno is all set to use the identical method to get rid of the innocent [Grass Rat].

In this particular instance, the [Grass Rat] instantly closed its eye while peeing.

[𝐘𝐨𝐮 𝐆𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐝 𝟓 𝐄𝐗𝐏]

Uno swiftly snatched the dead rat and buried the rat corpse before concealing himself in the same location. Suddenly, seven [Grass Rat] exited the rat hole, and the remaining sleeping [Grass Rat] woke up and entered the rat hole.

"Oh my fucking god!" Uno was taken aback. Uno felt blessed because it appears that the [Grass Rat] are unaware of their headcount. Uno made the decision to continue observing the [Grass Rat] and to kill any [Grass Rat] that relieved itself.

Uno had killed four [Grass Rats] after an hour and had a couple of theories on why there is a rotation over time. Only three rotations occurred in an hour. Uno noticed that five [Grass Rats] left the rat hole in the first rotation, three [Grass Rats] left the rat hole in the second rotation, and one Grass Rat left the hole in the last rotation.

"Hmm... Is the area inside the lair limited, forcing rotation?" Uno mumbled.

Uno decided to keep the one [Grass Rat] alive and kept watching until two [Grass Rats] left the rat hole and walked towards the waste area. Previously, when Uno killed the four [Grass Rat], it was always alone. In this case, two [Grass Rats] walked towards the waste area. Uno prepared himself and awaited the arrival of the two rats.

The two [Grass Rat] closed their eyes to be at ease. Then, behind the two rats, a faint red and yellow illumination emerged.

Rustle...Rustle...THUD!!!...THUD!!!

Uno immediately cleans up the scene and returns to his hiding place. During this time, Uno intended to farm the [Grass Rat] until the lair became empty of rats.

In the waste area, there is a puddle of blood mixed with urine and feces. Uno slain 7 [Grass Rat] in a few hours. During one of the encounters, two [Grass Rats] left the rat hole and drained themselves, causing Uno to use his [𝐔𝐫𝐠𝐞].

Uno is now patiently waiting for another prey to kill. Every now and then, a [Grass Rat] emerges from the rat hole, but this time it appears to be patrolling the area. Uno followed the [Grass Rat] and utilized a familiar approach to kill it.

Furthermore, the enormous sun is beginning to go down sooner or later. As a result, Uno has decided to leave the area.

But then a huge noise comes from the rat hole, and a [Alpha Grass Rat] emerges from it and begins to make its way to the waste area.

Uno began preparing a sneak attack in the waste area for the [Alpha Grass Rat].

The [Alpha Grass Rat] arrived at the waste area and relieved itself rapidly. It smelled something unusual as it was about to close its eyes. The strange odor emanated from the waste area's center, and when the [Alpha Grass Rat] glanced down, it noticed a patch of blood on the ground. A weak red and yellow illumination appears in the distance, followed by a dazzling light.

Uno activated [𝐔𝐫𝐠𝐞], causing him to glow in red and yellow. Then Uno triggered [𝐇𝐞𝐚𝐯𝐞𝐧'𝐬 𝐀𝐮𝐭𝐡𝐨𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐲], and he was enveloped by brilliant light. Uno gained enormous strength and smashed the stone into the [Alpha Grass Rat]'s head. The [Alpha Grass Rat] was unprepared and lurched sideways as a result of the sudden strike, but it remains alive. Then it shone in red and yellow light and began to stand firm. Uno attempted a second smash, but the stone shattered, rendering it useless.

"Shit!" Uno panicked.

Uno dipped into his pocket and took one stone for each hand. Uno jumped into [Alpha Grass Rat] and smacked it with stones. The [Alpha Grass Rat] suffered serious injury from Uno's initial smash, and after the creature was reawakened by the second attack, it shrieked loudly and prepared to charge Uno.

Uno tossed his stone at the massive rat as he was preparing for a shoulder charge and shouted. "FUCKING SHIIT!!! ARGHHHH!!"

A head-on collision occurred, and a loud snap was heard. Uno was flung from a considerable distance. Uno started rolling till he came to a halt and looked up into the sky, disoriented. Uno's mind wandered and was drawn back by a sound.

[𝐘𝐨𝐮 𝐆𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐝 𝟐𝟓 𝐄𝐗𝐏]

Uno was upset because his entire body was in pain. He suddenly heard a rumble.

Brrrrr...brrrrr...

Uno instantly stood up with a great deal of effort and realized what was going on. In a panic, Uno cried out, "The FUCKING lair, you noisy FUCKINGGG RATT!!!."

Uno pushed to flee hurriedly while still in agony. Because of the head-on collision, his upper right torso is in excruciating discomfort. However, due to his condition, the [Grass Rat] is able to catch up to him quickly.

Uno stumbles and falls face-up, and a [Grass Rat] manages to catch up and pounce on him. Uno exerted all of his might in his left hand to land a blow on the approaching rat. The [Grass Rat] was in mid-air when Uno punched the rat's abdomen. The impact of Uno's punch was so powerful that it fractured its spine. Uno abruptly lay down and heard a sound.

Uno quickly stood up and braced himself for a life-or-death battle. He gazed around the lair, and it appeared that the [Grass Rat] numbers were not too high, as he had recently killed from thirteen to eighteen rats.

Uno instantly opened his [𝐏𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐈𝐧𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐦𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧] and invested +5 Strength and +5 Agility to ensure he can punch heavily and move swiftly enough to avoid getting ganged up on by the [Grass Rat]. Fortunately, [𝐇𝐞𝐚𝐯𝐞𝐧'𝐬 𝐀𝐮𝐭𝐡𝐨𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐲] can last for 20 minutes and [𝐔𝐫𝐠𝐞] has more than 20 seconds before expiration. Uno is now three times stronger than the [Grass Rat] in peak form.

Uno cracked a grin and steadied himself against any approaching [Grass Rat]. Uno front-kicked, hooked, and headbutted any approaching rats. Uno made certain that every blow he delivered was heavy, promising a one-hit kill or, at the very least, making it fly backward or stunned, giving Uno time to finish it dead.

The series of notifications stunned Uno, and suddenly something materialized in the air. The object landed in front of Uno's face. The hilt of the yellow bone knife was wrapped in light green leather.

Uno exhaled a breath of relief as he grasped the dagger. He felt part of his vigor return as a result of the unexpected rise in power. He also felt some of his mental power return but he is still in a bad condition and then...

"HAHAHAHHAHA! WHAT FUCKIN LUCK!!" Uno wildly laughed.

Uno stopped laughing after 2 minutes and noticed that the optional mission was still unfinished which confused him.

Uno is debating whether to complete the mission or return back to the village because the sun is setting. Uno can still make it to the village before daybreak if he leaves now.

Uno decided to complete the mission because he now possesses a dagger to aid him and acquired 10+ worth of core attributes. Uno entered the premises of the rat lair and approached the rat holes cautiously.

When Uno arrived at one of the rat holes, he sensed a vibration emanating from its interior. Uno immediately readied for combat by taking the Eskrima-Kali stance. Then, from a random rat hole, emerged a [Alpha Grass Rat].

Uno is at a major disadvantage because he is still not fully recovered and he no longer has the element of surprise. The [Alpha Grass Rat] charged into Uno and glowed with red and yellow illumination. Uno instantly triggered his [Urge] on top of his already activated [Heaven's Authority], although it only had 3 minutes left.

The charge of the [Alpha Grass Rat] struck Uno. He gritted his teeth and ignored the pain to stab the rat in the neck deeply. Uno firmly grasped the knife's hilt and was dragged by the enormous rat. The rat's legs suddenly softened, and it began to crash with the side dragging Uno. Uno's left-hand grabs the enormous rat's fur and begins frantically stabbing the rat with the bone dagger using his right hand. The [Alpha Grass Rat] came to a stop in the waste area by coincidence.
