Chapter 48

The next morning, early in the morning, I woke up and took out our breakfast. After we finished our breakfast, I quickly clean our things and act as if we never bought those things. Luckily my mother was extremely good at acting. And when the adventurer comes, we act as if we only eat some hard bread from yesterday or the brownies that look like a burnt cake. They were looking at us eating with a look as if they are making fun of us.

"Good morning everyone! Let's continue our journey so we will be able to reach our destination earlier." I greet and said with an energetic tone.

"Everyone, let's depart so we could help them to arrive at their destination quickly. We also have to make sure that nothing will happen to both of them until they reach the border." The tank said.

We continue our journey and it was a smooth journey that spend around six days until we almost arrived at the border. We only need to pass the Southern Monster Forest to reach our destination.

Although it was known as a monster forest, it was really hard to find any monsters roaming around. Most of the monsters in that forest usually hide themselves from humans. Once a year there will be a monsters subjugation to avoid the monster wave.

From the story that I heard, the people in the South only help with the area near the nearest town in the South. I think it was because of the fierce discrimination in the East against the other races and it was the opposite of the Southern people who lived harmoniously with the beast race from the Southern Country.

I am quite curious about the beast race but I need to leave the South after I cross the border and go to the West as I promise to wait for them in the Labyrinth City. I need to prepare a place to live in the West and get some work and earn enough money.

There are so many things I need to do after I cross the border. My mother told me that she will be looking for a job because she didn't want to burden me even though I had told her that I have a way to earn a lot of money. Of course, I didn't tell her about the bromance book that I try to sell.

I also thinking about selling my printing knowledge if I lack money. I could also sell some beauty items if I join the merchant guild. Right now I still thinking and comparing what I should do when I arrived in the West. But I still need to directly look at the condition when I arrived in the West, especially the living condition in Labyrinth City.

Sometimes, something could only be decided after we know and understand the situation correctly. And it was the same for deciding on the place where we were able to live without fear that they will know about our real identity. And it was the safest from avoiding the other capture targets and the Heroine because it has the lowest probability after the labyrinth collapsed around four years later in the future.

If I remember correctly, the Second Prince's best friend will be involved in that accident and I think one of them will die and make him close his heart. And his condition only gets better when he met with the Heroine who heals his heart.

'If I really could change my fate, should I save them?'

I have thinking about helping the extra or mobs characters that will have some misfortune in the future. Maybe it was because I could empathize with them as I have the same fate if I didn't regain the memories of my past life.

I have been thinking lately about what will happen if I never heard about this game plot in my past life. Will I be able to plan all of this and do my best to learn and train like what I am doing right now? I keep thinking about a lot of questions that no one will be able to give me the answer. Maybe because there was nothing to do in our journey.

But I quickly put my focus on when we get near the forest. I still didn't know what they are trying to do to both of us. I use the magic power sensing ability to check my surroundings. My secret training makes me find out about the importance of fact after I get the seventh attribute.

I found out that I am able to use magic without anyone else being able to detect my magic power. I have checked it before and no one in that mansion able to feel it. That's why no one is able to guess that I have quite a lot of magic power in my small body.

"After crossing this forest, we will be able to reach your destination. I'm glad that we are able to have a smooth journey and arrived safely at the destination. Please don't forget to pay us as how you promised us." The thief said while making a money hand sign.

I look at the adventurer's face and saw how the mage's complexion become colder. The killing intent that he directs at both of us also intensified. He might be doing it as he thought that both of us are unable to realize that it was the killing intent that was directed at us.

There are a few times I want to kill them in our journey, especially the swordsman and the tank that keep leering lustfully at my mother. They don't even try to hide their rude behaviour as we arrived near the forest. I don't care if they are acting rude to me, but I will never forgive it I they do that to my mother. I'm glad for having an expressionless face so they can't guess my emotion.

'Please don't do anything and waste my time.'

It was something I had in my mind but I also know that it was something that I could only wish for but will never come true.

We enter the forest. There is a small road in the forest so we are still able to take the carriage with us. I heard that it was actually built a long time ago to connect the East and South parts of the Empire. But after the people in the East become faithful followers of the Temple of Light, they started to hate each other and neglect this road.

Some Adventurers and Merchants still use this road as a shortcut so some people still trying to maintain it to be passable for carriages to cross this path. But still, this road was quite bumpy for the people who ride the carriages.

When we arrived in the middle of the forest, they suddenly stop the carriage.

"Why do you stop the carriage? Did something happen to the carriage?" I innocently ask while preparing myself to attack them anytime they made their move and put myself in front of my mother to protect her.

"As they said that you are really an idiotic child. Can you understand what kind of condition you are in right now?" The swordsman said while sneering at my questions.

"Now, tell us where you are hiring the money you get from the Viscount." The thief added while looking at us with greedy eyes.

"I won't harm you if you serve me until I feel satisfied or I might accidentally harm your dear idiotic daughter if I feel angry." The tank said while keeping his lustful gaze on my mother.

"Stop it. It will be better if we quickly kill both of them and finish our quest from the Viscount. I feel extremely uncomfortable spending my time with these dirty beings without any blessing." The mage said with a displeased and disgusted tone.

"Hey, but we still have not taken the down payment from the Viscount. Didn't he say that we need to take it from them?" The thief said to remind the mage.

"It's such a waste if we didn't have some fun first. Don't you think so?" The tank asks the swordsman with his lustful gaze.

The swordsman didn't say anything as he seems to ogling my mother's body with his gaze.

"What are you going to do to both of us?" My mother said while holding my body from behind as she tried to protect me.

I could feel her body trembles because of fear but she still trying to protect me from the group of adventurers. I put my hand on her hand to tell her that they won't be able to do what they are trying to do.

"Don't waste our time and quickly kill them!" The mage said with a loud voice and started to gather his magic power before started chanting the spells.

"Hey, stop it! We still have not taken the money from them." The thief shouted.

The mage ignore his party members and started to chant the spells. "By the blessing of the Goddess, I will offer my magic power to exchange it with the spirit's help. Let me borrow the power to destroy my enemies. Let them taste God's punishment... "

But before he finished his chant, a large shadow appears from the bushes and moves towards the mage before his body is torn apart because of the shadow. I have realized that something is lurking around and getting closer to our direction when they start to argue with each other.

'Looks like it was more troublesome than the adventurers. What should I do?'
