Chapter 91
The water mirror and barrier disappeared at the same time. Both of them returned to the tent and they saw someone familiar glaring at both of them.
"What are both of you trying to do? Why do you make such a barrier to prevent everyone from knowing about it?" Pendragon asks while glaring at both of them.
"We talk about something that only both of us are able to understand and because we are the only one who could talk about it freely. If the other accidentally hears it, it might cause their death. I didn't want to cause trouble for the other so I asked Kadaklan to help me with it. Don't try to ask about it or you must pay the price with your life." Shia strictly warns him.
"Then why are the two of you talking about something dangerous like that? What are both of you trying to do?" Pendragon asks with a stern expression.
"It was related to the Goddess's order. So it didn't have any relation with you. You better not try to do anything to prevent it or defy it and make the Goddess angry." Shia coldly said and left.
"Wait!" Pendragon shouted and wanted to stop her but Kadaklan stopped him from grabbing Shia's hand while Shia didn't stop her steps and leave the tent.
Shia was expressionless as she walked to her tent but Renneshia knew that her heart was torn apart because she treated him heartlessly. Shia feels horrible for making him angry at her but she can't do anything because she wants him to have a future. And it was not with someone like her that only had a short time to live in this world.
'That's quite good acting. But he looks like someone who feels angry and jealous because you hide something from him but share it with his little brother. I think he will be angry for some time. But is it really okay if you don't tell him about your death? He might be really sad if he knows about it later.' Renneshia asked as she often read such stories in her past life.
"I know. But I don't want him to know about it because I think he might be able to accept my death if he knows about it later. Besides, I always think that my death might cause him to feel despair or hate the Goddess or he will not be able to accept another person in his heart. But I want to do something so there will be hope for the future. The God of Chaos is too strong if I don't do something to stop the God of Chaos's plan. I don't care about myself but I hope you will be able to get your happiness because you are my future." Shia said with a small voice.
'Did you mean I'm your reincarnation or something similar? Why do you treat yourself like that?' Renneshia asks with unbelievable feelings.
"No. You are not me or my reincarnation. We are just someone who holds the Goddess's fragment in our body and that's also the reason why we are able to speak to each other like this." Shia explains in a small voice.
'Then what are you trying to do? I know you are planning something but could you let me know about it to prevent me from doing something that might be messing with your plan later.' Renneshia ask.
"I can't tell you about it because it will make you pay the price for knowing it. And I don't think you would cause any mess to my plan because as long as you do what your heart told you to do, you will make my plans successful. But please don't be swayed by your emotions or you might get captured by their trap." Shia warned as she got into her tent and stood in front of the mirror.
Renneshia has a sad and worried face as she feels guilty about making Shia's death become something that is unavoidable.
'…I…I am sorry for causing you to be unable to avoid your death…I…' Renneshia feel horrible as she feels guilty for all of the trouble that she caused to Shia.
"As long as you help their descendants in your time, it will be enough for me if you want to repay me. But the most important thing is to live happily for my sake. If you are happy then I will also feel happy. We are different but one and we are the same but have so many differences. It was what one of the Temple teaches to the Saintess." Shia said with a thin smile on her face.
'What kind of absurd teaching is that?! Isn't it something that they teach you to make them sound wise?' Renneshia said as she didn't believe in that teaching.
"No. It was the truth because we are always the same as we are holding the Goddess's fragment in our body and soul. But we are always live differently because we are not the same person. I will share my knowledge with you but it looks like I could only share half of it because there are some restrictions for the other half. Then I will share only the things that you need. And if possible, please watch till my end and remember me." Shia said with a calm expression as she watched Renneshia in her reflection.
'I really can't understand you. If you see my memories, you will know how horrible it feels to be dead. Then why are you able to accept it calmly? Don't you feel scared?' Shia shouted as she couldn't understand Shia's thoughts.
"I never accepted it because I also think it was horrible and scary. But I could only do this to make this world able to have a future. The future that I saw from your memories is so precious and motivated myself to do this to protect it. I never thought that I loved this world more than anything in my life. And I fall in love with the peaceful future that you show me." Shia said with a smile as she closed her eyes and imagined the view that she saw from Renneshia's memories.
'Only the West where I currently living in is like that. It was because of the Kadaklan family that kept protecting that place to be a peaceful territory. The East where I lived before is not like that. That place is full of discrimination and craziness of their nobles.' Renneshia reminded Shia about her memories.
"But doesn't that mean that even if we have died, we will still be able to get passed on to the next generation? That is one more reason for me to do this. And I hope you won't ask more about it. I decided to not answer your questions about it anymore." Shia opened her eyes and said with a determined expression.
Renneshia didn't ask any questions to Shia about her plans after she looked at Shia's expression. Shia has an expression like someone who accepts her death as a sacrifice to everyone that she loves. Both of them stop talking to each other as Shia continues their journey to the West.
When they arrive at the Northwest of the continent, the demon race and a few other people from different races come and attack them. They are the followers of the God of Chaos. When they fought them, hordes of undead attacked them from the rear and blocked all the paths so they couldn't run away.
"Capture her!"
"Don't let her run away!"
"If you give her to us, we promise you that we won't kill you."
The believers of God of Chaos yell.
"Albina. Can you help me?" Shia said as she caressed Albina's head.
"Mama!? Why do you make a sad face? Did you hurt? Please tell me what I could do to help you!" Albina panicked and worried when she saw Shia's current expression.
"I will split your body and soul to help everyone. I'm sorry because it will cause you to sleep for a long time. But one day, someone with a similar soul to mine will appear and wake you up." Shia said and she thought that Albina might be angry at her because Albina is a smart child who understands how absurd Shia's words are.
"Un. It's alright. Besides I could met different you, right?" Albina said with a bright smile.
"I'm so sorry. But I promise you she will treat you kindly and give you a lot of wonderful things. Now I will start it. Can you please change your appearance to your dragon form?" Shia gently said.
'I understand. I will promise you that I will protect and treat her well when I meet her in the future.' Renneshia finally said something to Shia and promised her.
They continue to fight against the God of Chaos's believers as they continue to run until they reach the beach. They were cornered and did not have any place to run from them.
"Albina, could you enter the sea?" Shia asks her.
"I understand." Albina changed into her dragon form and entered the sea.
"Goddess Elyshian, I want to ask you for your help please let me create a place to save my people and use the dragon's body as the base..." Shia prays and Albina's body changes into an island near Shia, a transparent Albina in her child form appears.
After Shia finished her prayer she looked at the people from the temple and said. "Everyone from the temple and the seer race, please get onto the island. Please leave this continent and remember about our Goddess's teaching. If someone from the island wants to return to this continent later please remember to ask the priest to check their fate first."
