Chapter 124

"What do you mean when you said that it was more advanced than this spell? And how do you know about this? Do you have any proof?" Darius asked with a serious face.

"Currently, it was just my speculation after hearing about him from Sister Elviira, the one who realize that he was using these spells. She told me that for some unknown reason, she couldn't remember the Tower Master's face and appearance. And that was also the last time most people saw him outside of the Magic Tower." Ludger tells him what he heard from Elviira.

"If he was really able to do something like this, wouldn't he be able to go out from the Magic Tower easily without anyone able to see him, right? Then, do you think that he always moving around the city without anyone able to realize that he was there?" Edgar seems to understand what Ludger mean.

"Then do you think that he was the person who attacked you last time? I remember that you said that you are attacked by high-rank magic but you can't find the attacker. Didn't you think that it was a group of people before? But if your deduction was right then you will have a hard time to handle it." Darius asked Ludger and he knew the answer when he saw his face.

"Then, what are you going to do right now?" Edgar decided to ask him.

"Nothing. Everything that I said just now still lacking the evidence so right now I will focus on the upcoming Winter Tournament.  I need to find a way to make him show himself rather than look for his whereabouts without any clue. I only want to tell you about this. And I will be busy so don't add any work to me until the Winter Tournament ends...No, don't ever give me any work again! I need to train now." Ludger seriously told Darius.

"If I can't ask you to help me, then you will let me watch your training, right? I really want to see the beautiful dance that I saw before." Darius said with a smile that looked like a boy.

"Haa, you won't even listen even if I forbid you to do it or you might sneaking around on the roof like a thief like what happened last time." Ludger sighed and answered him.

"Hey, Ludy, can I also see how you do your training? Do you also use the sword as your weapon? Is that your sword?" Rainold felt excited when he started to talk about the training and asked about the sword that Ludger put on the table.

"This is not my weapon. I only use it for my training. See, it was too blunt to be used as a normal sword." Ludger shows them the sword on the table as he pulls it out from the sheath.

It was more like an iron stick rather than a sword. But it was something that Ludger used to train his swordsmanship. The weight of that sword is a bit heavier than a normal sword so it really helps Ludger to train his power and speed. Even though it was blunt, Ludger always thought he might have to think about using it as his main weapon.

'But I will be making my weapon in Favian's Laboratory from tomorrow onwards. I don't know how long it will take for me to finish it and master that weapon. I hope it won't take too long and I will be able to use it efficiently on the Winter Tournament.' Ludger thought as he returned the sword into the sheath.

"Are you sure that you are not from a noble family? All of your conduct seems to be similar to the nobles in this country." Edgar asked with a curious face.

"If you really want to be my friend, I will remind you to not ask about my past because it was something that I don't want to remember." Ludger said with a bitter smile.

"I-I'm really sorry for asking about it. I didn't mean to remind you about it." Edgar quickly apologizes.

"It's alright. I know you didn't mean that." Ludger nodded and they left his room.

"You want to train with a sword, right? Then can I look at your training? Maybe we can also exchange some tips from our knowledge if possible." Rainold suggests as they walk to the empty lot behind the restaurant.

"Looking at your appearance,  you seem to be quite good with the sword. Can I also see your sword technique? Can I see it and use it as my reference?" Ludger asks with a curious face.

"I could let you see it but I can't teach you the technique because it could only be used by our family. The only way to learn it was to marry to our family. And you seem to dislike being a part of a noble family, right? So, please don't try to copy my techniques." Rainold honestly warned.

"Thank you for reminding me about it. I will keep it in my mind. I did not hate to become a part of a noble family but I also think I like to be a commoner rather than a noble." Ludger tells him his opinion.

"Can I know your reason for saying that?" Edgar who listening to their conversation asked.

"It's just my own opinion so you don't have to worry about it. I always feel that being a commoner is much more easier for me and it will give me more freedom." Ludger answers it honestly.

"Then, did you dislike me if I marry your mother later because it will turn you into a noble?" Darius curiously asked.

"I don't mind about it as long as my Mom could live happily with you. I have promised you that I won't interfere with your relationship. So, when will you tell my Mom about the truth?" Ludger asked while looking at Darius's face with his sharp gaze.

"I need to prepare my heart because I was wondering if your mother would hate me and stop talking to me if she knew that I was a noble. Can you please help me to ask her about it?" Darius asked with a pathetic tone.

"Haa, I won't help you because it was a private matter of the two of you." Ludger sighed as he felt the current Duke Kadaklan, Kismet is crumbling in his mind as he saw how pathetic Darius was.

While Ludger knows that his mother seems to love him too, but it is because Darius hides his identity as a noble. He also knows that his mother still has trauma from what happened in the East with the Viscount Ruach family. But Ludger is also afraid that his mother will feel like she was deceived by Darius (Kismet) if he doesn't tell the truth or give some hint to her about his identity soon.

"I really don't understand why you are so scared to tell her the truth. The longer you hide it, the harder for you to tell her about it. Besides, if you tell her the truth, you can also tell her that you are the one who saved her life before." Ludger tells him what he thought about it.

"I never thought that I would be able to see him acting as pathetic as this today." Edgar mutters in a small voice.

"Hey, you punk! You are able to say something like that because it has not happened to you. I really want to see when you stand in my position later. Oh right,  you haven't found your soulmate, right? I think there is still some time for me to prepare my seat to watch you struggle." Darius said as he heard Edgar's words.

"Let's just leave them alone. So, can you show me your sword techniques, Rain?" Ludger ignores the two who start quarrelling with their words and looks at Rainold.

"Alright, I'm not sure if you will interested in it, but this is my family technique." Rainold started to swing his sword after he said that.

Whoosh.

His techniques look simple at a glance but if you look at them carefully, it was a sword technique that needed harsh training and constantly doing similar training every day. But it is not only repeating the same move thoughtlessly but also distributing the power and the speed of every movement. It reminds Ludger of the robot in his past life.

Whoosh.

Every swing is causing a strong wind. But then Ludger realized that he was doing it without using an aura, the power that is used by knights or warriors to envelop their bodies with magic power to enchant their bodies and turn them into a superhuman. While it use magic power but because the use is different from the usual magic, as aura user is unable to use magic easily, the magician also have a hard time to use aura. But Ludger is able to use both easily because of Shia memories and his past life knowledge.

'This technique needs to be learned from a young age and repeatedly doing the same training until the movements are able to reach the perfect move without making any waste movement. I won't be able to replicate his movement because my body is different from him and I don't have that strength.' Ludger carefully watches Rainold's movement.

Whoosh!

It was a strong swing, and might even cut a monster into two parts.

"What do you think about my family technique? Now is your turn." Rainold ended his movement and looked in Ludger's direction.
