Green Dragon eggs

"That's just what I should be doing."

Elynn beamed with pride, clearly enjoying Ethan's praise. Looks like even heroes in the game love hearing compliments!

"Oh, right..." Ethan suddenly seemed to remember something and asked, "Elynn, you have two Pegasus Knights under your command, right? Can you train them directly into Silver Pegasus Knights?"

"I can, but I'll need some gold... and special resources, like crystals..." Elynn hesitated.

Seeing her hesitation, Ethan immediately had a bad feeling, but he couldn't help but ask, "How much?"

"Fifty thousand gold, and three cryst—"

"HOW MUCH?!" Ethan's voice shot up several octaves.

His eyes widened in shock, completely dumbfounded.

"Fifty thousand gold..." Elynn repeated weakly.

"Stop—" Ethan cut her off before she could even finish. Fifty thousand gold? Three crystals? Might as well be daylight robbery!

Pegasus Knights were a Tier 7 unit.

And in the world of Glory Lords X, the recruitment cost for Tier 7 units started at 30,000 gold. Tier 8 units were usually around 100,000 gold.

So, 30,000 plus 50,000... that was only 80,000. Actually, that was a bargain—2,000 gold cheaper than expected. It was a great deal, really...

But the problem was, Ethan only had 30,000 gold on hand!

How was he supposed to cover such a massive gap?

"Ugh..." Ethan sighed, shaking his head in frustration. "Forget it, we'll deal with it later..."

"Don't worry, Master. Fifty thousand gold is nothing. As long as we can capture a few gold mines for Emerald Castle, we'll have it in no time... The real problem is the crystal mines. Those are special resource points, and they're extremely rare," Elynn said seriously.

To her, getting three crystals was way harder than gathering fifty thousand gold. That was the real issue here!

"Got it, got it. Just handle it," Ethan said with a bitter smile, waving her off.

"Yes, my esteemed Master."

Elynn gave a formal knightly salute and was about to turn and leave when she suddenly hesitated, as if something had just occurred to her. Her expression shifted slightly.

"Master, there's... one more thing."

"What is it?" Ethan asked, puzzled.

"When I was flying earlier, I caught a glimpse of something... and I could've sworn I saw a Dragon Cliff inside Emerald Castle?" Elynn's voice wavered. "I must've been mistaken, right? Yeah... definitely just my imagination..."

She suddenly felt incredibly foolish.

A Dragon Cliff was the recruitment building for Green Dragons—a Tier 13 Legendary Unit!

Do you know what that meant?

Even in their Rampart faction's main empire, AvLee, buildings capable of recruiting top-tier units like that were incredibly rare—so rare you could count them on one hand. In total, there were probably fewer than five in the entire empire!

And yet, Emerald Castle was just a Level 1 castle.

There was no way it could have a Dragon Cliff!

Absolutely impossible!

But she failed to notice that the moment Ethan heard her words, his entire body stiffened.

Then, silence.

A deep, deathly silence.

"Holy shit..."

"Could this be my real cheat ability? My transmigration bonus package?" Ethan muttered to himself after a long pause.

At the same time, his heart started pounding wildly, thudding against his chest.

He couldn't calm down.

"Elynn, go ahead and take care of the resource situation first," Ethan said, pressing his lips together.

"Understood, Master. I'll take my leave."

Elynn turned, mounted her silver Pegasus, and flew off toward the resource points in the wild.

Meanwhile, Ethan took a deep breath and headed into Emerald Castle.

Since it was only a Level 1 castle, Emerald Castle wasn't very large and looked rather desolate. Aside from a few basic structures, there was practically nothing else.

But right now, Ethan wasn't paying attention to any of that.

His eyes were locked onto something deep within Emerald Castle—his gaze wide, unblinking.

There, at the farthest edge of the keep, stood a steep, towering cliff.

And perched atop that cliff was a Dragon Cliff!

The recruitment structure for Green Dragons—the Tier 13 Legendary Unit of the Rampart faction!

"Holy shit!"

Ethan couldn't help but exclaim, his heart pounding with excitement.

A Dragon Cliff!

A real, actual Dragon Cliff!

This was it—he had struck gold!

"No way, I need to check this out right now!"

Whoosh!

In an instant, Ethan took off like he had rockets strapped to his feet, sprinting toward the Dragon Cliff at full speed.

Thankfully, this was a game world, and even though his character was just a Common hero, that still made him dozens—no, hundreds—of times stronger than an ordinary person.

So even though the mountain where the Dragon Cliff stood was incredibly steep, with sheer cliffs that would be impossible to climb in the real world, Ethan scaled it effortlessly.

[Dragon Cliff]

Allows you to recruit Tier 13 unit: Green Dragon.

Recruitment limit: 1

Recruitment date: First day of each natural month

Recruitment cost: 15 million gold, 800 crystals

Ethan stared at the recruitment cost, completely dumbfounded.

"What the hell?! How is anyone supposed to play this game?! Even a bank wouldn't rob me this hard! This is insane!"

But before he could finish ranting, something else inside the Dragon Cliff caught his eye.

Amidst the crystal-covered, gold-adorned dragon nest, two massive Green Dragon eggs sat in plain sight—so large that even if Ethan stretched his arms out, he wouldn't be able to wrap them around one.

They stood out like a pair of glowing treasures, impossible to ignore.
