Jia Li held her breath as she felt his warm exhales against her skin, soon followed by the warmth of his lips.

She pushed him away. "Xianwu, no more teasing," she cautioned, observing his amused smile directed at her. 

"What did I do?" Xianwu acted innocent, keeping the smirk on his lips.

 "Act like a noble man not an immoral one," she scolded him. 

"I believe in acting immorally around you," Xianwu remarked.  

Jia Li shot a glance at him. 

"Don't look at me with that gaze. It gives me an invitation to do more with you," Xianwu said.

Revenge Of The Crown Princess

Xianwu gazed at the Magistrate, Han Linghe, and asked him why he didn't want to summon Landlord Zhuye. 


"You need to bring an official order from the Minister of Revenue regarding Landlord Zhuye's summon. Only then, I'll pass an order from here to proceed with the cases against him," Han Linghe said and picked up the cherry from the bowl. 


"Then, why is Han Linghe given this position of magistrate if he cannot do his job well? The Minister of Revenue has no role in this matter," Xianwu asserted. 


Han Linghe threw the seed of the cherry into another bowl. "Are you newly appointed in this work? Don't you know I cannot summon any influential landlord unless I get the order from Minister Wang?" he questioned Xianwu in a displeased tone. "Leave before I've to kick you out," Han Linghe said and asked the servant to bring more cherries for him.
