Jia Li held her breath as she felt his warm exhales against her skin, soon followed by the warmth of his lips.

She pushed him away. "Xianwu, no more teasing," she cautioned, observing his amused smile directed at her. 

"What did I do?" Xianwu acted innocent, keeping the smirk on his lips.

 "Act like a noble man not an immoral one," she scolded him. 

"I believe in acting immorally around you," Xianwu remarked.  

Jia Li shot a glance at him. 

"Don't look at me with that gaze. It gives me an invitation to do more with you," Xianwu said.

Revenge Of The Crown Princess

"What? The date of marriage is announced to be a day after tomorrow!" Jia Li was shocked to learn this from Eunuch Yang, who specifically came to inform her.

"Yes, Your Royal Highness. The next date was after two months. His Majesty decided along with Her Majesty not to choose a later date," Eunuch Yang explained to her.

Jia Li thanked him for informing her. Eunuch Yang bowed and left while Jia Li went to the chaise to sit on it. Court Lady Xuan was extremely delighted to hear this and asked a maidservant to bring the sweets.

"I thought I'd at least get a week to be prepared," Jia Li whispered.

Court Lady Xuan told her not to be upset about it. "The earlier it is, the better it will be," she remarked. "I am so eager to see the Crown Princess in the wedding dress. She will look the most beautiful bride on her special day." Court Lady Xuan was unable to express fully her happiness in her words.
