Jia Li held her breath as she felt his warm exhales against her skin, soon followed by the warmth of his lips.

She pushed him away. "Xianwu, no more teasing," she cautioned, observing his amused smile directed at her. 

"What did I do?" Xianwu acted innocent, keeping the smirk on his lips.

 "Act like a noble man not an immoral one," she scolded him. 

"I believe in acting immorally around you," Xianwu remarked.  

Jia Li shot a glance at him. 

"Don't look at me with that gaze. It gives me an invitation to do more with you," Xianwu said.

Revenge Of The Crown Princess

By the evening, Xianwu and Wangjie were back to the palace. Ning Hua was dropped in her home on Wangjie's request since he didn't wish to trouble her going back on her own.

"You offered the eldest son of the houses you visited jobs of servants in various departments. Make sure they are paid well," Xianwu advised Wangjie.

"How to stop landlords oppression on them? They are doing this for generations. Do you have any idea?" Wangjie queried him.

"Why don't you ask this from your sister? She knows better than me in this regard. In the past, the Crown Princess has suggested many changes in the laws and policies related to them, but none among them protested against her. So, discuss with Jia Li," Xianwu explained as he provided his honest opinions.

Wangjie waa hesitant to talk with Jia Li, but to resolve this issue permanently, he needed to ask her. He would not deny that Jia Li had the better knowledge of all this.
