She pushed him away. "Xianwu, no more teasing," she cautioned, observing his amused smile directed at her. 

"What did I do?" Xianwu acted innocent, keeping the smirk on his lips.

 "Act like a noble man not an immoral one," she scolded him. 

"I believe in acting immorally around you," Xianwu remarked.  

Jia Li shot a glance at him. 

"Don't look at me with that gaze. It gives me an invitation to do more with you," Xianwu said.

Revenge Of The Crown Princess

"I heard from the Crown Prince that you wanted to discuss with me the matter related to the suicide that took place in a few villages within the capital," Jia Li said, looking at Wangjie, who was seated in front of him.

"Yes. I provided them the jobs and even money. But I think I need to change the policies, where these people are forced to take money from the landlords and then they have to pay a high interest rate to the landlords. I also don't wish to anger the landlords. What does Sister Jia Li suggest to me on this?" he asked.

"Hmm. Brother Wangjie must remember that we have fixed particular interest rates for these debts. However, mostly because the officials at the lower ranks do the corruption, such problems arise more. Brother Wangjie shall form a committee who can keep an eye on these officials in every village," Jia Li advised him.
