Tang Jia Li, the Crown Princess of the Tang Empire, was accused of the murder of her father, the Emperor. The same night, she was deposed from her royal title and ordered to be beheaded. When she attempted to run away, she died at the hands of her enemies.

However, it is not easy to take revenge alone when her enemies are countless. That is when Tang Jia Li gets the support of the five young noblemen— The Empress’s bodyguard, the State  Minister's son, the Prime Minister’s son, the Governor’s son, and the General’s son. 

While embarking the journey of revenge, she gets entangled with these five noblemen, finding Friendship, Loyalty, Rivalry and True Love.

Jia Li held her breath as she felt his warm exhales against her skin, soon followed by the warmth of his lips.

She pushed him away. "Xianwu, no more teasing," she cautioned, observing his amused smile directed at her. 

"What did I do?" Xianwu acted innocent, keeping the smirk on his lips.

 "Act like a noble man not an immoral one," she scolded him. 

"I believe in acting immorally around you," Xianwu remarked.  

Jia Li shot a glance at him. 

"Don't look at me with that gaze. It gives me an invitation to do more with you," Xianwu said.

"Exploring life without an identity of your own sounds intriguing," Xianwu remarked sarcastically. "But why didn't Father utilize you as evidence to expose the Grand Empress Dowager as a villain to the Emperor?" He inquired further.

"No one would have trusted a spy like me. I lacked concrete evidence to support my claims," Sun Liwei stated firmly.

"So, Jia Li was constantly in the crosshairs of the Grand Empress Dowager," Xianwu muttered under his breath.

"Your Royal Highness, appoint me as your bodyguard," Sun Liwei proposed.

"Eagle would be taken aback to see you at my side," Xianwu promptly declined Sun Liwei's offer to become his bodyguard.

"But the Grand Empress Dowager perceives you as a threat. You require someone stronger by your side. Furthermore, I believe it's time for me to reveal my true identity. That could significantly disrupt their plans," Sun Liwei asserted.
