Chapter 14: The Emanating Hostility

A scornful smile crossed Emily's face, which then turned sinister. The shards in her hand were not only effective weapons but also double-edged swords. They slashed through the vampires, deeply cutting into her own palm as well.

But at this moment, she was so excited that she had long forgotten the pain. She only wanted to tear these enemies in front of her into pieces! Yes! They were enemies! Anyone who wanted to harm her was an enemy! She wanted to tear them apart!

The eerie light in Emily's eyes sent shivers down the remaining vampires' spines. It was the first time since becoming a vampire that they felt fear from a human gaze. Instinctively, they took a few steps back, but Emily leaped up, gripping the porcelain shard. As she landed, the shard acted like a sharp blade, slicing a vampire from head to toe, splitting it into two and falling in opposite directions.

The three vampires, whose throats were previously slashed, had already healed themselves. However, as soon as they stood up, one of them was once again attacked by Emily. This time, she cleanly severed it at the waist. Not satisfied with just that, Emily lifted the maimed upper body with one hand and forcefully tore it into several pieces.

Blood sprayed into the air, almost staining the ceiling of the room red. The floor became a river of blood, flowing incessantly. Emily stood barefoot in this river of blood, the exhilaration rising from her feet making her impatient to tear apart a few more bodies...

Boris's expression was no longer serene; his brows furrowed slightly. The situation had far exceeded his imagination. He set down the cup brimming with blood, hastily ascended the stairs, with Benjamin and Alexander following closely behind. Benjamin breathed a sigh of relief inwardly, but there was a hidden menace in Alexander's eyes.

As Boris pushed open the door, all three of them were shocked by the scene inside the room. The entire room had turned into a blood-drenched chamber. The blood soaked the carpet on the floor, overflowing outside the door. The floor was littered with fragments of corpses, arranged haphazardly, and even the most intact bodies were without heads.

Emily was covered in blood from head to toe, as if she had just bathed in it. Standing amidst the fragments of corpses, she turned her head to look at them, a sinister smile on her lips. Blood continued to drip from her hair, forming rivulets of blood on her body. Even Boris couldn't help but shudder.

"Who else dares to come?!" Emily sneered, as if she were the master of this battle, the ruler of this darkness. Fearless and undaunted, even the millennia-old elders standing before her were mere ants, easily crushed in her eyes.

Boris was initially taken aback, but then applauded, "Indeed, you are the princess I have chosen!"

Emily sneered, a cold smile forming at the corner of her mouth, and said disdainfully, "Princess? Hmph, I disdain it!"

Benjamin stood by the doorway, unable to utter a word. The Emily in front of him seemed like a complete stranger, an emissary of darkness, an embodiment of a demon, arrogantly unmatched.

Boris hadn't expected Emily to respond in such a manner. A hint of anger flashed in his eyes as he retorted, "Being chosen by me is your fortune!"

Emily tilted her head, looking at Boris with a sinister gaze filled with contempt and disdain. She said, "Fortune? Is this how you treat a princess?"

Boris choked on his words. If it weren't for Emily's special abilities, he wouldn't have chosen such an extreme method for her trial. But if he were to explain now that this was just a way to train her, firstly, she wouldn't believe it, and secondly, he would feel embarrassed, as if he were afraid of her.

With a bold move, Benjamin tried to walk towards Emily, but she gave him a cold glare that froze him in place, preventing him from taking another step forward.

Emily raised the ceramic shard in her hand, still stained with blood. The droplets dripped down one by one. She smiled wickedly, extended her tongue to lick it, and her mouth instantly filled with a savory metallic taste. It tasted delicious to her.

"Hmm, not bad!" she remarked.

Boris and the other two were stunned, and the killing intent in Alexander's eyes grew stronger. If a human like her truly became a vampire, the consequences would be unimaginable. If she willingly served the Lesamban tribe, it would be a significant blow to Gaia. However, if she didn't stay in line, she would also pose a hidden threat to the Lesamban tribe.

From the looks of it, if this misunderstanding wasn't resolved today, Emily would never willingly serve the Lesamban tribe. Even if it were resolved, there would inevitably be lingering grievances. This human couldn't be left alive!

Alexander made up his mind and suddenly rushed to attack Emily. His speed was so fast that no one could see his shadow, but Emily easily evaded it. With a swift movement, due to his excessive speed and the limited space in the room, Alexander couldn't stop his momentum and crashed into the wall.

Moreover, he hit the window directly, shattering the bricks and falling outside.

Emily then turned towards the window. The last trace of the sunset had disappeared, plunging the world into darkness. She smirked, "You got lucky!"

She casually walked towards the window. There were no blood roses on the windowsill, indicating that Boris had already prepared and moved them to avoid damage during the fight.

She discarded the porcelain shard in her hand. The deep wounds in the palm of her hand were shocking to behold, but they were healing at an astonishing speed. She glanced back at Boris and Benjamin, then leaped down and landed steadily on the ground.

"Her abilities exceeded my expectations!" Boris squinted his eyes as he looked at the empty window, contemplating. He then turned to Benjamin and said, "You're responsible for soothing her emotions. Lesenba needs someone like her."

"Yes, father!" Benjamin obediently lowered his head, but just as he did, he heard Emily's voice from behind them.

"I need to take a shower!" Emily coldly pushed past them, heading straight towards the direction of the bathroom. Right before closing the door, she said, "Tidy up this place and prepare clean clothes for me before I finish bathing!"

With that, she slammed the door shut.

At this moment, Emily's sense of smell had regained its sensitivity. Her eyes coldly stared at the petals in the bathtub, and her slender fingers picked up one, sniffing it beneath her nose. It was indeed the issue with these petals.

She undressed without hesitation and jumped into the bathtub. With a cold snort, she forcefully pushed the petals out of the bathtub using the power of the water. The petals were expelled from the bathtub, sprinkling onto the floor along with the water, leaving only a few behind.

Emily immersed her entire body in the water, merging the blood on her body with the water. Soon, the water in the bathtub turned red. Emily resurfaced, resembling one who had bathed in blood.

After finishing her shower, there were no traces of the recent fight in the bedroom, except for the lingering smell of blood. The bed was neatly arranged with clean clothes and a set of silk pajamas.

Without hesitation, Emily grabbed the pajamas and put them on. She then slipped into the bed, closing her eyes and drifting off to sleep. The battle had indeed exhausted her.

"Father! This is your room!" Alexander and Boris stood at the door, listening to the sounds inside. Alexander was so enraged that he wanted to rush in and pull her out, but Boris stopped him.

It was nighttime now, the vampire's daylight. Boris no longer needed to sleep. "Let her rest," he said.

Alexander clenched his fists in frustration, recalling the humiliating scene from earlier. He wished he could tear Emily into pieces, but bound by Boris's command, he had to swallow his hatred.

The morning sun and the cool breeze awakened Emily. She looked at the sunlight outside the window and slowly sat up, stretching lazily. She calmly went to take a shower, knowing that it was daytime and the room was filled with sunlight, so no one would dare to enter.

Recalling the thrilling events of the previous night, Emily couldn't even believe it was herself. She looked at her hands, realizing that she had actually... killed someone!

Well, even though they couldn't be considered human, they were still living beings!

She shuddered at the thought of tearing them into pieces. At that time, it felt as if her thoughts were being controlled, and the exhilaration surging through her blood made it impossible for her to restrain herself. It was as if tearing them into pieces was the only way for her to feel happiness.

But why did it bring her joy?

Emily was becoming increasingly afraid to think about it. She quickly finished her shower, changed her clothes, and stood by the window. Looking down, she saw that the topmost floor of the castle was at least two to three hundred meters above the ground. The memory of falling from the block tower made her feel apprehensive.

She glanced back at the door. Once she stepped out of that door, there would be no more windows in the entire castle. It would be engulfed in darkness, their territory. Her only way out was through the window that Alexander had smashed open.

With determination, Emily took a deep breath and jumped out the window. Although she scraped her knees and they started bleeding, she didn't sustain any major injuries. Emily patted off the dirt on her hands, grateful that she hadn't been hurt too badly. Once the wound on her knee started healing, she began to run.

When Olivia saw Emily appearing at the door, she immediately stood up, her eyes swollen from crying, and hugged her tightly. "Where have you been? I was so worried!"

Emily was taken aback. Olivia had been so good to her, and her concern didn't seem fake. Sometimes, she couldn't understand Olivia. She was a typical rich and beautiful girl, so why did she like being around a poor girl like Emily, who always seemed to steal her spotlight?

"Just had a little accident," Emily casually replied. She couldn't explain these bizarre occurrences. She patted Olivia's back and said, "Alright, alright, don't cry. I'm back now! If you keep crying like this, you'll cry a perfectly good person to death!"

"After Olivia woke up that day and couldn't find you, she stayed up all night worrying. We tried to persuade her, but she wouldn't listen. We searched everywhere for you," Charlotte said, approaching them and handing Olivia a tissue.

"We kept telling her that maybe you went on a date with Benjamin, but she wouldn't listen!" Ava chimed in.

"Why didn't you turn on your phone? No matter where you went, you should have at least told us," Olivia scolded, wiping away her tears.

Speaking of her phone, Emily realized she had no idea where she had left it. It looked like she would have to spend money again to replace it!
