"Wings?" Gaiyi squinted his eyes, pondering.
A "monster" with blue eyes, bald, with a round and slightly reflective head, twisted facial features, hunched back as if carrying a heavy load, and a bent and emaciated body stood respectfully beside Gaiyi. In front of Gaiyi, he was only half as tall.
"Yes, during the siege in Lesenba, it suddenly grew wings and flew away with its companions," the monster replied.
Gaiyi's eyebrows furrowed tighter. "What kind of wings?"
"Black, like a swan," the monster said confidently.
"Oh?" Gaiyi's eyebrows furrowed even more. "What is that thing?"
The monster fell silent because he couldn't answer that question either.
Only the first three generations of vampires had wings, but those generations had long vanished from this world. Moreover, the wings of the first three generations were more bat-like in shape. What was the story behind Emily's wings?
"You keep watching closely. Report to me immediately if there are any developments. Remember, this matter must not be divulged. Just keep it under your watchful eye," Gaiyi said with a serious expression, making the monster tremble. However, he understood the gravity of the situation and nodded before leaving.
Gaiyi held a delicate goblet in his hand, containing a viscous red liquid. He took a sip, furrowing his brow and gazing into the distance.

Alexander gathered all the survivors from the Lesenba siege and hurriedly retreated to Cyberville during the night. He ordered that the news of Emily sprouting wings be kept secret. This large-scale assault not only failed to claim Emily's life but also triggered new abilities in her. If her mysterious powers were to fall into the hands of the Secret Party, it would bring catastrophic consequences upon Lesenba.
Alexander slammed his hand onto the table, causing it to collapse into pieces. Caught between the Secret Party's relentless pursuit and the looming threat of a mysterious vampire, the situation was dire. If it weren't for his cunning, he would have long fallen victim to the hands of that enigmatic individual.
Fortunately, the assault was not entirely fruitless. They had captured Bloodblade. With the Feast of Crimson Moon approaching, previously they had only managed to capture an inexperienced human hunter. If other clans were to find out, Lesenba's reputation would be tarnished. But capturing Bloodblade was different. Offering him as a sacrifice during the Feast of Crimson Moon would undoubtedly bring Lesenba great fame. Even the Secret Party would think twice before taking action.
Alexander looked at Bloodblade, bound tightly with silver threads, and his mood gradually calmed.
Emily! You escaped this time, but it won't be so easy next time! Alexander's gaze turned increasingly sinister, and his green eyes emitted an eerie light that sent shivers down one's spine.
...
It wasn't until nearly dawn that Emily returned, flapping her wings. She carried a wild boar in her arms, which was unconscious. With a thud, she threw the boar next to Benjamin and folded her wings.
The noise startled Benjamin awake, and as soon as he opened his eyes, he found himself face to face with the boar's snout. He recoiled in fear, taking two steps back. When he looked up, he saw Emily smiling at him.
"What's this?" Benjamin pointed at the boar, a sense of unease creeping into his heart.
"It's your food! Drink it quickly for healing!" Emily sat down beside him, looking relaxed. Olivia had been successfully frozen, and the doctors said that with current technology, they could extend her lifespan by three months. Benjamin, although severely injured, had not died. As long as he replenished himself with fresh blood, his wounds would heal. Emily felt a considerable weight lifted from her shoulders.
"I'm not a vegetarian! Give me human blood!" Benjamin complained inwardly. Vegetarian vampires relied on animal blood as their food source, but that would make them weak in terms of abilities. Throughout the centuries, only Bloodblade, a vegetarian vampire, had grown powerful to the point of being abnormal. Others were sickly, living in lightless jungles, never daring to appear in the human world because their abilities were too insignificant. Dealing with them was as easy as squashing an ant.
Emily watched Benjamin shake his head, frustrated by the dire situation. Having any blood at all would be a luxury, yet he was being picky! Nonetheless, she took out a few blood bags and handed them to him. The well-being of the injured took precedence.
She had never stolen anything in her life, but today she got caught. After freezing Olivia, Emily secretly went to the hospital's blood bank and stole a few bags of blood.
Benjamin bit open a blood bag and took a sip. He spat it out with a "ptui" sound. "It's not fresh!" Then he threw the blood bag that Emily had stolen for the first time on the ground, and the blood immediately soaked into the earth.
"Well, there's no more," Emily said angrily, pointing at the wild boar. "This is fresh. Drink it if you want!"
"No humanity, no humanity!" Benjamin covered his chest, his blood-stained shirt showing the evidence. "I've suffered such severe injuries, and you won't let me drink high-quality human blood!" He looked sorrowful, innocent, and pitiful, his eyes filled with protesting stares at Emily.
Emily softened a bit as she looked at the blood on Benjamin's chest. She found a cave for Benjamin first, ensuring that he wouldn't be exposed to sunlight, and then quietly spread her wings and flew away.
As she approached Shuncheng, Emily landed on the ground and began running swiftly. Although her sense of smell was not as keen during the daytime, she quickly found the woman she was looking for.
Standing beneath the building where the woman worked, Emily looked up at the towering skyscraper. She never expected this woman to be working here. Since their first encounter, Emily had automatically classified her as a low-class individual.
When Emily appeared in front of the woman, her expression turned gloomy. The woman knew her time was up and obediently followed her.
"Is everything ready?" Emily walked ahead without turning back.
"Only one thing remains," the woman honestly replied.
"I can't wait any longer. Take me to him," Emily said, stopping in her tracks.
The woman nodded and led Emily to the man's workplace. Surprisingly, he was a white-collar worker, confidently discussing matters in the conference room. His graceful demeanor did not resemble that of a perverted man who abused young girls.
The phrase "a wolf in sheep's clothing" popped into Emily's mind.
"I will take care of this person for you. Do you have any other wishes?" Emily turned to the woman and asked.
The woman shook her head, then suddenly lifted her head and nodded vigorously.
"Do you have something else to say?" Emily grew impatient.
"Yes!" The woman daringly grabbed Emily's arm.
Emily looked at her hand, furrowing her brow. She didn't like unfamiliar people making physical contact with her, but seeing the woman's fearful expression, she refrained from getting angry.
"Speak up!"
"It's my sister!" The woman's eyes were full of pleading. "Let my sister accompany me on this journey. I can't leave her alone in this world!"
