Chapter Six

Hawks shoved Dabi through the door of his apartment, gripping the collar of his white shirt. Dabi stumbled backwards and fell against Hawks' couch. Hawks shoved Dabi down, climbed on top of him and kissed him.

Dabi grunted, and placed his hands on the blonde's hips, deepening the kiss and biting Hawks' bottom lip.

Hawks let out a moan as he felt Dabi's tounge piercing pressing into his mouth. Dabi chased the moan, licking into Hawks' mouth. Hawks' crimson wings shifted and puffed out, and Dabi laughed softly, playing with the blonde's feathers.

"Sensitive, are we?"

Hawks huffed. "Shut up and kiss me, dumbass."

Dabi grinned and captured his lips again, rolling them over so Hawks was under him and he had one leg in between the hero's.

He shoved his leg up and ground down slightly against the hero's crotch. Hawks moaned and pushed his hips up against Dabi's, searching for friction. He reached for Dabi's belt, beginning to unbuckle it while still kissing him and Dabi began to take off his shirt, letting Hawks adjust his position to allow his wings some comfort, and then-

Dabi jerked awake. He was covered in sweat, panting, and could feel his growing erection pressing against his underwear.

He groaned and picked up his pillow, shoving it into his face.

Why did this keep happening?

In truth, it's not the first time he's had one of these dreams about Hawks. He and Hawks had never even done anything more than making out when they were together.

No matter how far they go in these dreams, Dabi had never gone that far with anyone before. He hadn't said anything to Hawks at the time, because he felt embarrassed about it.

He knew he shouldn't really be embarrassed about it, but he couldn't help it.

He looked over at his alarm clock. 07:36.

Dabi got up from his bed, threw off the covers and went into his bathroom. He undressed and stepped into the shower, turning it to cold. He washed himself in the cold, waiting for his erection to fuck off.

Hawks woke up with a pounding head. He rolled over, smushing his face into his pillow. His phone was buzzing, but he ignored it.

What happened last night?

He slowly raised himself off his bed, before flopping back down on it again.

Too comfy. Can't get up.

Suddenly, someone started banging on his front door. He groaned and pulled the pillow to cover his ears.

He heard the lock of his door click and a familiar voice call, "Hawks?"

Hawks lifted up his head. Rumi. She sounded worried.

"In here." Hawks croaked out.

His bedroom door opened and Rumi peaked in. "Good. You're not dead."

He blinked. "Why would I be dead?"

"Last night, you were drunk as shit, and I had to go meet someone, and a guy you called 'Dabs' came over and said he'd take you home. I was just making sure he hadn't killed you. He looked shady, but he said he knew you." Rumi explained, pulling gently at one of her ears, a habit she had.

Dabs? Oh. Dabi...

Dabi had brought him home?

"Dabs brought me home? I don't remember anything after I had a few too many drinks." Hawks said, sitting up groggily.

Rumi sat down on the bed beside him.

"Sooo who is this Dabs?" She raised her eyebrows. "A past hookup? An ex?"

"An ex." Hawks said reluctantly.

"Ooh planning on rekindling that?" She wiggled her eyebrows.

He sighed. "I wish. We broke off on bad terms. Had a fight. Haven't talked since. Until last night, apparently."

Rumi ruffled his hair. "Poor birdie. One sided love."

"I'm not in love with him!" Hawks pouted.

Rumi laughed. "Keep telling yourself that. You literally just said you wished you could get back together with him."

Hawks opened his mouth to argue, then realised she was right and gave up.

She laughed at him, knowing she had won.

"Shut up and get out Rumiiii!" Hawks complained, shoving her playfully.

"Alright, alright. I'll go. Meet for lunch later?"

"Sure."

"KFC?"

"Yup!"

Hawks adjusted his goggles on his face as he flew over the treetops, the wind gusting over his face, the birds chirping in his ears.

The sun was beginning to set, and the pinkish gold colours were shining down on him.

Then he saw it.

Blue flames.

Dabi.

Hawks hovered in the air uncertainly. Should he go to Dabi? He wanted to thank him for yesterday, but...

He flew down to the flames, which were now burning out. He landed on the ground, and pulled in his wings, looking around him. He was in a forested area, many of the trees charred from Dabi's flames. He spread out of few feathers, trying to speed up his search for the dark haired villain.

"Boo."

Hawks screamed at the voice behind him, a high pitched scream, which turned into a loud squawk at the end. He spun around, one of his larger feathers in his hand to face his attacker.

Or not.

"You fucker." He shoved Dabi away.

Dabi just laughed. "It's fun messing with you, birdie."

Hawks slightly smiled at the nickname. "By the way... thanks for last night."

Dabi grunted. "No need to thank me. Your rabbit friend looked distressed. I'm surprised you remembered what happened anyways, you were drunk out of your mind."

"Actually I didn't remember. Rumi told me that you took me home." Hawks explained.

Dabi nodded. "That makes more sense." He took a breath before continuing, "So you and Mirko? You together?"

"No no no!" Hawks shook his head. "We're not together. Rumi's actually a lesbian, but we just don't tell the media, for obvious reasons."

Dabi had an expression on his face that Hawks couldn't quite place. "Good."

Hawks blinked. "... Good?"

"Yeah. It's good." Dabi stepped a bit closer to Hawks. Hawks' breath caught in his throat. What's happening?

They were only a few inches apart now. Hawks could feel Dabi's breath ghosting against his lips. Dabi's eyes darted towards the hero's lips, and Hawks' tounge shot out to lick them. His heart was beating fast, the urge to lean in and close the space between them felt both good and bad at once. Dabi's hand reached up and touched Hawks' cheek gently. Hawks nuzzled the villains hand, and saw Dabi's head begin to tilt towards his-

Crack.

They both jumped away at the noise. Hawks' heightened senses picked up on stomping footsteps in the distance. Then voices began to drift closer to them.

"Must be a family. They're getting closer." Hawks said to break the silence.

"Yeah. I'd better just go."

"Yeah. I'll go too." Hawks nodded to Dabi and they both turned to go their separate ways.

As Hawks began to fly home, he slapped a hand over his burning face.

"Shit..."
