Chapter 3: Another Dimension III

Naruto had never thought of marrying Hinata. In the past, there was a rumor that went around saying that Naruto and Hinata were getting married which was inaccurate. The purpose of the rumour was to give ideas to both the mentioned people to get married.

However, Sasuke believed in that false rumour, knowing how badly Naruto wanted a family. It was also an undeniable fact that Sakura never loved Naruto and the truth that Hyuga Hinata had loved Naruto since childhood made it even more believable. Sasuke had no way of knowing wether Naruto was attracted to the same gender seeing as he only fell in love with woman. The Uchiha didn't wanna risk their friendship thus never took the chance to confess.

The truth was far from that. Uchiha Sasuke was the one who got married and had a child with Sakura first before Naruto. That was the truth that Sasuke never knew. It's quite sad seeing as the only reason Naruto married Hinata is because he was aware that he could never have Sasuke the moment he heard of their marriage. Sasuke at that point felt too far for Naruto to reach, eventually letting go of his feelings.

There are few people who know about the truth and their mutual feelings, Hyuga Hinata was one of them. Sasuke knew he should have comminuted with Naruto about this but he couldn't bear the thought of it being true which is why during a mission with Sakura made him make the impulsive decision out of desperation and regret, wondering what could have been had he spoken up years ago and convincing himself he had no place in Naruto's life anymore.

How could this misunderstanding happen, nobody knows. It could've all been solved with communication but no one bothered with using the most efficient method. It really goes to show how a small thing such as rumours can make a big change in your life and the decisions you make.

They say that soulmates will always end up together. No matter how much love was lost and no matter how much distance there was. You lose each other to find each other again. That is what it is like when someone is meant for you; if they leave, they will return and stay forever but that is not the case here. They can't be together that is the reality. Maybe... Just maybe in another life, they could have that ending.

Today is the day when everyone's vacation finally starts. Everyone, except for Sasuke, were in a secluded place waiting for a portal to appear and take them. It didn't specify a place thus Naruto chose the most secluded place.

The children were chatting with each other to pass time and some of the adults were talking about serious matters, while others were happily chatting about anything in general. Suddenly the ground started shaking. Everyone looked to see what was happening and they saw the ground cracking open, as if something wanted to crawl out of the soil and solid ground.

The ground was breaking and creating stairs. The beautiful entrance is what they assumed to be the portal. The portal shows a large black door with red lights. The door is made of metal and has intricate designs on it, including flowers and smoke. It appears to be an outdoor gate, as there are no other buildings or structures in the background. The dominant colors in this image are grey and black, while the accent color is a deep reddish-brown hue. There is also some light coming from behind the gate which adds to its mysterious atmosphere.

The overall mood of this portal could be described as eerie yet captivating; it's almost like you can feel something lurking just beyond the entrance but you don't know what it might be.

Ino was so engrossed by looking at the flowers, the strong desire of wanting to plant some if she had the seeds and didn't realize she was touching them until Sai had put a hand on her shoulder. She looked behind him to see everyone still frozen in their place trying to proceed with what just happened. Shikamaru was the first to snap out of his frozen state and nudged Naruto to get him to snap out of it.

A few minutes later, after they finally snapped back to reality, they looked at the Hokage to give them orders on what to do. Naruto sighed, decided to be on the safer side. "I will go in first to see what is on the other side and if I don't come back in 10 to 15 minutes, don't follow me."

Before anyone can object, he ran forward and jumped in the portal. Everyone started getting worried for their Hokage but they can't do anything about it since orders were orders. A few minutes passed, Sasuke came by teleporting and looked at Shikamaru to fill him in on what happened. Without looking back, Sasuke said, "I'm gonna follow Naruto to make sure he's okay. No more people are allowed to go in." He teleported in front of the mesmerizing portal and ran straight in.

Shikamaru sighed and said his famous phrase. "What a drag." Sakura froze on the spot as she yelled her husband's name. "Sasuke -kun!" She was about to run into the portal until someone grabbed her hand. "Sakura-chan. Both Sasuke-kun and Naruto-kun are strong enough to protect themselves so you don't have to worry"

Hinata gave Sakura a soft smile to reassure her that everything will be fine. Sakura hesitated at first before nodded her head at Hinata, letting her know that she can let go know. Hinata smiled brightly and went to stand next to Himawari, comforting her since she looked anxious and worried for her dad.

Naruto told Hinata about what happened yesterday and she wanted them to have their moment to make up. Kakashi, Tsunade, Shikamaru, Orochimaru and Gaara were discussing a plan on what to do if something really happened and if it was really a trap.

Meanwhile,

Boruto was with his friends, imagining what there would be or see in the new world. Boruto looked at his team and asked them. "What do you guys think of this whole thing?" Sarada put her hand under her chin as if thinking on what to say.

While Sarada was thinking about her answer, Mitsuki stated his opinion. "Well, I'm actually interested to know what another world has to offer. Seeing as this is an opportunity that doesn't come that often." Mitsuki said with a smile. Both of them looked at him and Sarada nodded, confirming that she had roughly the same thought.

(A/N I just made that up because I haven't watched the anime as I've stated so I don't know how they actually would think or say)

The moment Naruto stepped inside the portal, he felt dizzy and nauseous since he wasn't used to traveling through portals and dimensions. He stumbled back due to a rock and fell to the ground. He rubbed his butt before standing up to look at his surroundings since that's what a normal person would do.

A snowy pathway can be seen the moment he steps in. The fresh snow covers the ground, and the trees and bushes are coated with a thick layer of white. The air is crisp and cold, and the silence is almost deafening. As he walk along the pathway, his footsteps make a soft crunching sound in the snow. The snowflakes are still falling from the sky, creating a peaceful and serene atmosphere. The trees on either side of the pathway are heavy with snow, and the branches are drooping down towards the ground. The snow creates a natural archway above his head, and the sunlight filters through the branches, casting a soft glow on the snow below.

After a few minutes of looking around, Naruto sensed a familiar chakra and looked behind him to see Sasuke searching for someone the moment he regained his balance which he assumed was him.

"Sasuke!"

Sasuke caught Naruto's voice calling out to him. The former's heart is racing as he run towards his loved one. He had been worried after hearing that Naruto went inside alone and he hasn't heard from him since last night. The relief of finally seeing Naruto is overwhelming.

Their eyes meet and none of them moved an inch. Sasuke sprinted as fast as he can to reach him. His one good arm is outstretched, ready to embrace him as soon as it is within reach. The wind is blowing in their face, and their hair is flying behind them like a flag. Their breath is coming in short, quick gasps, but they don't care.

All he can think about is the safety and well-being of Naruto. Finally, Sasuke reached Naruto, and he wraps his arm around Naruto in a tight hug. The feeling of each others warmth and heartbeat against their chest is the greatest relief they've ever felt.

Naruto was taken back since both him and Sasuke didn't talk nor look at each other since last night. Sasuke was worried that something would happen to him. Whenever they looked at one another their eyes would either hold sadness or regret, sometimes both. Naruto stumbled a bit before hugging Sasuke back, enjoying the warmth while it lasted. Sasuke just buried his head in Naruto shoulder while Naruto just patted his back and head. Naruto's head pat reminded Sasuke of his mother and how similar Naruto is to her sometimes.

(A/N: They are not cheating, they are just relieved to see each other and they both like physical affection.)

5 minutes have passed and the warm moment was broken when Sasuke went back inside the portal to inform the others that it is not dangerous. When everyone arrived, they were looking around with awe expressions till they heard a 'poof' sound indicating that someone is here.

They had their guard up, especially the adults. A woman can be seen through the smoke. She looked like to be in her thirties with short blond hair and light blue eyes. They let their guard down when they realized that the woman in front of them was identical to their Ino but with short hair.

Oh who is she?
