[Here is the surprise event that everyone has been waiting for. The SURVIVAL TRIAL. Our little bunnies would need to defeat their once-beloved friend to survive. The time limit is 5 hours. Once the time limit is up, our little bunnies' hearts will automatically stop beating.]
"What! Defeat that giant worm in 5 hours? That's crazy." I gasped.
Rona screamed. "Fight, our friend?! No!"
"Did none of you see the heart automatically stop beating part?" Isaac facepalmed.
Rona and I stared at Isaac. "Oui..."
"I'm with a bunch of idiots. What sin had I committed in my past lives."
[I would appreciate it if you little bunnies stop interrupting me.]
"Oh... Sorry." Rona apologized immediately.
"Can't we chat a bit more before we become Looney and Mona Jr.'s food?" I stomped my feet in anger.
"Here I thought, I might be able to open a flower shop before I die." Isaac looked gloomy at the thought he couldn't fulfil his mother's heartfelt dream.
I put my hands on Isaac's shoulder. "Come on. There's us too, you know. With the 3 of us, there's nothing we can't handle."
"Even though you guys are the cause of Looney and Mona Jr. going berserk?" Isaac said calmly and I ignore his words.
Rona nodded. "Don't worry, here!" Rona gave Isaac a green-purplish fruit. "Rona shares her food too! So cheer up, Isaac!" Rona grin.
I stared at the fruit. 'Is that consumable?'
Isaac took the fruit and gave an awkward smile. "Thanks, Rona," Isaac whispered to me and said. "She just gave me a poison fruit."
I whispered back. "At least she gave you something which she thought was consumable to you, so stop complaining."
[Are you done yet? We don't have all day. Or should I just take care of you three little bunnies myself?]
Isaac and I shook our heads.
Rona stepped forward and said. "Mr. James, you should try comforting Isaac, too. He's feeling really down now."
Our jaw dropped as we stared at Rona, who confronted Mr. James.
Isaac shook his head and said. "I'm all better now. So let's just continue on, shall we?" Isaac moved beside Rona and whispered. "Please, Rona, stop it now. I'm serious."
Rona ignored Isaac's plead. "Well, Mr. James? Aren't you going to -"
We quickly covered Rona's mouth and said. "Please do continue. Just ignore whatever Rona said. She wasn't serious."
[I guess I'll ignore what she just said, or else the game will never end.]
[So there you have it. Your final trial. I do hope our three little bunnies pass, or I'll be absolutely disappointed. Tick. Tock. Tick. Tock. Say no more. Your time starts now, little bunnies. Hop along! Or meet your maker, so they say.]
Mr. James gave a nasty laugh and disappeared, leaving us with a countdown to our death.

0...
As the countdown reached 0, the paused time started ticking again, and the giant worm let out a strong cry.
SCREECCCHHHH!
The scream was so loud that it created a shockwave that blew us away. The trees around us were torn from their roots and flew as well. "He's mad, alright!" I sobbed.
The worm stopped screaming, and we landed painfully on the ground. "I don't know how many times I've been slammed to the ground in this game." I slowly get up and crack my back. "I hope my bones didn't crack."
The worm opened its vicious-looking mouth and dived toward us.
"RUN!!!" We screamed and ran as fast as we could. We had no time to think of a plan or anything. All we know is run now or become worm's food.
I ran and screamed. "This must be revenge for all those times my Ma ate fried worms! Oh, Ma! Why!"
Bang!
We managed to dodge, and the worm dived into the ground behind us. However, the force from the worm slamming to the ground was so great that the ground cracked and exploded upwards.
"Wooww!" We screamed as we were lifted and slammed onto the ground again. We fell on our back, but that didn't stop us. We quickly got back on our feet and started running.
Bang!
Bang!
Bang!
Bang!
Bang!
Suddenly, an army of small worms burst out from the ground.
Kashaaa!!!
Kuwahhh!!!
The worms were rapidly wiggling out of the ground. The worms were crushing each other as they moved forward. Unlike the ones in the dungeon, they were smaller in size, slimy, and vicious.
"Are they newborns?" Isaac looked disgusted by their appearance mostly from the slimy substance on them.
"Babies! They're so cute!" Rona ran toward them. Luckily, Isaac stopped Rona in time before she became their first meal since they were born.
I was overwhelmed by the sight of those wiggling worms that I couldn't even stand straight. "Oh my god. I feel like puking." I bent over and placed my hand over my mouth to stop myself from puking.
"Now isn't time to puke. RUN, YOU MORON!" Isaac ran.
Rona grabbed me and placed me on her shoulder like carrying a bean bag and followed Isaac.
Whoosh.
Whoosh.
We ran into the deep woods as fast as we could. No matter how long we ran or how tired we were, we couldn't afford to take a break. As we ran, we could see the trees were crushed by the mountains of worms behind us.
"Thank goodness Mama Worm isn't after us." I laughed.
Isaac ignored me and said. "We need to split up and kill these annoying worms. Once we're done, I'll send a coordinate to you all so we can regroup."
Rona and I nodded.
"We'll split up at the big tree there." Isaac pointed at the big old tree we were running towards.
When we reached the big old tree, we split. I turned left, Isaac went straight, and Rona went to the right. As always, most of the worms came after me. I looked behind and screamed. "Don't you all know what's even distribution?"
The worms screamed.
Kishaaa!!!
"Ya. Like I know what that means." I gritted my teeth and ran to an empty plane. Within seconds, I was surrounded by worms. They were glaring at me with their opened drooling white teeth while making some weird noises.
Shaa...
Shaa...
The noises were so loud and piercing that it made me extremely annoyed. "You know, I would categorize you guys as vicious noise pollution monsters in the monster catalogue." I equipped my scythe and smiled. "Well, soon you all won't be making a sound, but I ain't gonna miss it one bit." I stared at those vicious worms. 'This is gonna be one hell of a blood bath.'
I swung and threw my scythe at the worms. I made sure my aim were between the head and saddle, where their major organs were.
Swoosh.
A gust of wind slashed the worms and sliced them into half.
Splat.
One swing from my scythe and the grass was dyed red. The worms died instantaneously. It was a clean slice and a quick death for those worms. 'A swift death is better than to experience a long and gruesome pain.'
Waaaagh!!
A few worms attacked me from behind.
I dodged to the side easily. I grabbed the knife attached to the scythe and swiftly stabbed each one of them. At the same time, I swung my scythe like a long-range weapon and cleared the surrounding worms. Every kill made my heart ache, but it was a survival game. I didn't have a choice if I wanted to live. Screams filled the air, but everything went completely silent within seconds. I could hear the gentle sound of the wind in the forest again.
Whoosh.
The wind brushed me by as I stood in the middle of the plane with my blood-dripping scythe and knife. I covered my nose as the stench of blood was too strong to bear. Even so, I dug a few holes in the ground and buried all the dead worms inside the holes. I made simple wooden graves for each worm and carved "Worms." I stood back and prayed. "I'm sorry if you all only managed to live a short life because of me. But I hope you all get to live a better life in the next life." I prayed in the moment of silence. I lifted my head and stared at the gravesite. It gave me great pain to see many lives laid wasted for human entertainment. I sighed in grief.
Ping.
[You got a new message]
Isaac has sent a coordinate.
"Oh? Isaac found a place so fast?" I pressed the location link, and it showed the exact location. "Oh! A map. Just what I need." I looked at the map and was confused. "Err... How do you read a map?" I scratched my head and laughed. "Oh well, I just need to follow my instinct, and I'll get there eventually. Let the adventure begin!"
I looked back at the gravesite and bowed. I slowly backed away and walked into the deep forest to regroup with Isaac and Rona.
