Rhyland will have to hunt tonight, once more just like he did the night before. 


It's a normal, daily occurrence and he is used to it. The more pressing matter is that of the full moon. Werewolves typically go into heat once a year. During their mating season, they become vulnerable to outside attacks. It only makes sense as the werewolves are focused on breeding to spread their seed. They retreat to their fortified mansions which were heavily guarded by human and non-human subordinates. 


However, the same cannot be said for Rhyland. For one thing, he didn't have fortifications in the penthouse apartment where he resided. And another more important thing was, he didn't get his rut annually like other lycanthropes. He got it EVERY full moon. It is an aberration. His greatest weakness. And it is a secret that he has to keep to his grave.
