CHAPTER 18

It was Friday Sage walked in Maths class, usually everyone minds there business but today they looked at her and whispered amongst themselves. She was used to that and she walked to her desk and sat relaxing her head behind her chair.

Her desk mate ignored her throughout the lesson but that never bothered her she was used to it but what was on her mind right now was how to get her friends back mostly Maeve, the shy girl that approached Sage forcing her to be friends. The two had a connection and the others knew.

Maeve sat alone most of the time and was enjoying the noon sunlight when a shadow covered her face and she irritably opened her eye only to see it was Sage, couldn't her day get any worse.

She sat upright and looked at Sage, "What now, haven't you been a liar enough?" Sage sat next to causing Maeve move backwards and that was enough to twist Sage's heart.

"I don't know what you heard about me but that doesn't matter," She knelt and held Maeve's hands, her pride couldn't count now. "I'm really sorry I talked without measuring my words," she signed she didn't have words to say.

"I don't want to sound cheap but, I also over reacted because what you said was true. I missed you." Maeve smiled and hugged Sage. She didn't waste time and hugged her back. "But you have to tell me what's going on," they sat and looked serious.

"What's really happening, I have no clue… I just know that people are staring at me weirdly but I didn't care about that… My mission was to find you." They smiled. Maeve handed Sage her phone.

"Wow news really circulates around fast," She handed back Maeve's phone. "Well I am sorry I never told you that I'm to the Landons but that's the past… You know they no longer want us so…" she explained everything to Maeve and she could only sign her friend's life was a mess.

"Anyway, were the rest?" Sage looked around. Maeve stood up dusting her skirt and pointed at a particular spot. They left and joined the rest,

"I knew it you girls can't stay away from each other, come here girls," Khalil rushed and hugged both girls. "Anyway, we have to do something about the news going around about you…" he continued.

"Awwh you guys don't believe the roamers?" Sage almost cried. Agatha knocked her head,

"We've met your mom; she's nothing like they said…" They all nodded. "Them doing this means that they are dead brains." This was what every person wants, real friends who don't judge you and a loving mother who is always there for you.

"Thanks guys, it really means a lot," She wiped her eyes.

"Awwh she's crying"

"No I'm not, something got into my eyes." They got her back and she got there's… That's all that mattered.

School ended pretty well and Sage was accompanied by her friends to her new home, they liked the décor and the fact that it was Sally's childhood home, it was fascinating.

Today was Maeve's party and she held it at her dad's beach house. She was the richest friend everyone wanted in their life.

After dropping her school stuffs at home they went to Maeve's beach house to get ready for the party. A white themed mansion settled on the blue wide beach screaming luxury.

"Welcome to la Casa," They jumped off from Maeve's jeep. Both girls were drooling and Khalil was trying his best to behave and not embarrass himself which was hard.

"Girl what the fuck, why would you hide this… this…ahh I can't explain what my sight is seeing." They laughed at Khalil outburst.

"How dare you not introduce us to this baby," Agatha joined. They had seen and experience Maeve's wealth but this was so explicit.

"This belongs to my dad, and neither of us is allowed," They all gave her a dumb folded look.
