CHAPTER 27

In the small household Sally and Sage were devouring there lunch when Sally received a phone call, she walked out in a hurry and tensed, which made Sage suspicious of her.

After Sally left, Sage opened her bag but found nothing and closed it quickly after hearing Sally's footsteps. She sat next to sage and continued eating. There was an awkward silence between them,

"Sage don't you think we should travel around the world," Sage raised an eyebrow from such a question, "I mean move to another city," she looked nervous.

"Why all of a sudden, I mean I school here, my friends are here," She never left Sally's face and waited for some suspicious expression but Sally had had covered her nervous expression with a smile, like she always does.

"You can always make new friends," She stood avoiding Sage's eyes.

"Is there something wrong?" Sage followed her to the kitchen. Sally has been behaving weirdly lately. "Are you hiding something from me, because if you are…"

"Then what, what will you do!!!" She lashed out. Sage was startled by the sudden change. Sally narrowed her eyes and walked near her, making Sage stumble but she griped the counter for support making Sally corner her.

"You have no fucking idea how hard it is for me," Her face was flushing red and rage evident in her loud voice, she looked like a psych.

This was the first time that she showed this side to Sage. The gentle, mild and cheerful mother was no were to be seen. Sage couldn't take it no more, her strong legs lost balance and the next thing she passed out.

Sally's face never changed but she still loved her daughter, she carried her to her room. A box was placed on Sage's bed and syringe like thing was injected to her arm.

After ten hours Sage jacked up sweating profusely, and remembered everything. Just as she was about to go down her bed, she heard voices out her bed room door,

"Are you sure that she will not remember a thing," Sally asked the stranger unsurely. It's been five hours since Sage fainted and was injected a strange medicine, "Trust me she's not the first person I've done that to."

Sage smiled bitterly and reached out the drawer and pulled out a document and called a particular number.

Fred and Maeve sat together looking at the folks playing golf. Fred never spared her not even a glance, She was soo fuming mad she could explode,

"Do you hate me?" she asked more like asking herself .

"You got that right," He claped his hands together and smiled, "That's so clever of you," he mocked.

"Do you like someone else?" She almost cried when he nodded. "Who is she, and let me tell you," She pointed at Fred who was busy yarning when he received a phone call, "I won't let any bitch get in my way, you are only mine… you understand,"

Fred stood up taking his belongings with him and waved his hands, "Whatever,"

Maeve was shaking in anger when Blair sat next to her and held out a drink, "Want some," Maeve looked at Blair's mocking face and hit the drink off her hand. "Such a rude brat," Blair licked her lipsfrom the sweetness of the drink and placed her glass on the wood table.

"You should give up on him, he will never like you," Silence followed. Blair wanted to laugh at the helpless expression on her face; this girl was trying so hard to force herself on some who didn't even care.

"You know very well that I'm the only solution to your Lang corporation success project," Now it was Maeve's turn to laugh and mock the stiff expression on Blair's face. "Listen Blair, I don't care if you don't like me but always remember, my dad carries more shares in the company and can easily crash your cheap company, mmmh how about that," She played with her hair.

"We don't need your stupid project for us to bloom bitch," Blair was out of words the stupid girl's words were indeed true, were going bankrupt and they needed Richford corporation investment to be saved.

"Oh is that so, I don't think your poor dad thinks that," She lazily pointed and Mr Lang sweating face from losing so many times. "Your dad was stupid enough to bet with the Windward land," Blair's face was white like sheets, how can her dad be that stupid? This people were taking advantage of them.

"You bitch, how dare you," She soo bad wanted to tear her fake innocent face off. This was all a trap that they foolishly walked in.

"Dad we are leaving,"
