The mansion was truly big and had everything that one would dream of. It was almost a castle the only thing it's that it lacked royalty.
The interior was still historic and the current members never changed anything. Although old, the furnishers still looked as good as gold.
She had been part of this family since child but none of them treated her like one. Even her cousins ignored her like she wasn't around, but she could do nothing.
The girls at school pretended to be friends because she came from a powerful family and them all wanted benefits. Free trips, food and parties.
She always had that one feeling in her mind that they would abandon her if she drops from her position. She had to protect the little she had before she was alone again.
After late dinner Simon and her dad left having Samantha sleep. They couldn't bear spent the night in that house again. At night the house felt like a haunted house, Samantha made it worse by running around saying that they were here to kill her.
"Will she be okay?" Simon couldn't help but question.
"I don't give a fuck if she will, that old woman sure has demons," He joked and Simon laughed just thinking of the face Samantha made when she was paranoid.
This was the only time that the two laughed and it became awkward remembering their stiff relationship.
"Simon, actually…" He's words stuck on his throat by the force they were thrown with. The mansion that they had just come out of exploded with too much force affecting everything around them.
MINUTES BEFORE…
After Samantha laid her head on her pillow she felt someone looking at her in the corner of the room. She closed her eyes screaming to her head that it was only a dream but her brain shut betraying her.
In the window, the person smiled seeing the old woman trying to ignore him. He like this very much, the way he made people feel when he was around. They almost made him fall to ashes but luckily he survived to tear them down with him.
"You are not real, I made sure that day," her anxiety got the best of her. The man walked close and uncovered the old woman who spoke boldly under the covers.
"Aren't you ashamed, it wasn't me who you shot that day," How could she forget what she did that day.
"You used him so I could kill him," No one could admit in a grave mistake committed. They all needed some to cover up their lies.
"We both know that I came in the picture and you wanted to hit two birds with one stone." He pretended to aim in the air sitting on her bed.
The truth was she had planned to kill her husband and take over. She was so greedy that she wanted to also take her sons life for being the next kin.
But then she found that the man in front of her had already planned with her husband. With rage she planned her husband's death killed him.
Her husband's family never like her but her husband was always there to defend her, getting an idea from strangers, she decided to gain power so she could fit wither husband leading to falling out of their relationship and murder…
"No need to regret now," He stood up taking a small button from his pocket and threw it to her, "I'll give you a chance to finish it all yourself,"
"If not, you and you beloved reputation will go down the drain. You will lose everything you took from the innocent lives," No wanting anyone to know what she did those days she did what no one expected.
