Chapter 13: Mildid

Mildid screamed, turning her face upwards. She shook both of her massive hands beside her head. “She knows my naaaaame!”

With the arc of the separated waterfall curtain over their heads, Cecilia walked towards the old woman, green light flaring to life in her eyes.

Mildid held a bitter look on her face when her attention returned to them. “No one has spoken my name in centuries!” she shrieked.

Then she took note of the light in Cecilia’s eyes and threw her arms back up in the air. “Of course! Of course!” she yelled at no one in particular.

And then her attention snapped to the cartwheeling fool next to her. “And you! What good are you?”

The fool blubbered over the attention, his arms still fixed diagonally up over his head. Without a second thought, Mildid wound up with her massive hand and hurled a blue stream of light at him.
